  1. There's definitely some nostalgia factor with unreleased tracks that causes them to get praised disproportionately. I've seen someone claim that Earthquakes is better than A&W. If it was the other way around and Lana would have released Earthquakes and A&W was the unreleased one then this forum would have a meltdown about how Lana is always "stripping back" her instrumentals.

  2. I did some testing with the Soundcloud content protection system. Uploading released Lana songs (I tried Kintsugi and Cherry Blossom) always shows this generic and unspecific copyright message:

may contain copyrighted content. As a result, your track has been removed from your profile for the time being.

SYTH also now shows this generic copyright message, even though 20 days ago it showed the following:

might contain or be a copy of "pov: you thinking of him / her" by AA Records, which is owned by AA Records in certain territories.

Basically SYTH now behaves similar to other Lana songs and this wasn't the case 20 days ago.

Can someone check credits page of Peppers, Does it really have her niece Phoenix Grant at synthesizer?  :smile2:

and did anyone figure out where is Sam Dew's background vocals at A&W?

Yes, Phoenix is credited. I wonder if Sam Dew only helped to write the song and somehow got miscredited as background vocals. Even with Dolby Atmos stems I didn't notice his vocals.

Does anyone know if all the CDs for this era are low quality, or only the listening party exclusive? I know someone on this thread also mentioned their vinyl sounded odd. I'm not sure what's going on with the manufacturing this era...

Unless they put the wrong masters on the CD there shouldn't be any issues. Does it sound better on streaming?
