  1. Grandfather please stand on the shoulders of my father while he’s deep-sea fishing - staggering! The stuff is happening! The kite is flying high on the melodies and poetry! The [Outro] Three white butterflies to know you're near is like a child how we would pray . . . That's it for today for me. I began by relistening to Fingertips, and bawled again to the verses, now that I know what they mean. Enjoyed the pleasant, Paris, Texas, and I just needed one more. Is this the track everyone said is tour de force?
  2. How can you do it? I thought, I'll listen to one song, open it like a gift. It is Fingertips, and I am listening with the lyrics open on Genius, and sobbing! Instead of gobble this album up, maybe I have to listen one song per day . . .
  3. Just finished listening to Kintsugi, after I played The Grants and the title track and the rest through except A&W because I already overplayed that one and am skipping Judah Smith Interlude . . . I am purchasing the mp3s one by one on Amazon, because Judah Smith Interlude is a skip to me, audio unheard. Youtube has too many pops and pauses, and I do not subscribe to Apple, Spotify, or the other streaming services. Mp3 the way to go, for me . . . As soon as Lana's voice started doing arpegios on "I'm sweet, bare feet" on Sweet, I pronounced, Album of the Year! Now, I'll pause and do my cleaning job for my absent neighbor before catching up.. Thanx so much for all your opinions! You can tell from my Likes I read through and enjoy them!
  4. Aaron ForWhateverReason enjoyed Chemtrails . . . It seems Chemtrails is an unlikely fav for Lana fans and received a high metacritic score.
  5. Here are a couple tweets from Brazil From Zia in Pheonix
  6. Would you take pics and post them here Thanx. 🙂
  7. Thank you. You'll have to pull the kite string in, because I'll be so high! You know it!
  8. So it is a good memory - thank God! In this day and age, one can't be surprised at any nasty thing. Ever since Cee low tweeted, You want to keep your precious memory - I get that! Not want to spoil it. Okay. Respect.
  9. Yes, I liked it. This quote: That's it in a nutshell! Editor of Gigwise Lucy Harbron demos her skills in one sentence, instead of paragraphs dominating an article. criminally overlooked by awards underappreciated as a writer largely misunderstood Check check check! Awards: It isn't 100 % true with the Billboard Women in Music Visionary award and Variety 2021 Decade, Award but Lana has not been nominated for a mainstream award like Oscar, which she should have for Big Eyes and Young and Beautiful . . . Billboard and Variety invented the above awards because they knew Lana was past due! Underappreciated as a writer: As Lana mentioned in Interview, Sasha Frere-Jones wrote: He must be eating his words now! NY Times critic Jon Caramanica said: Caramanica backed out of these words in subsequent reviews, tho, like a lot of critics, and Pitchfork, who revised its BTD rating from 5.5 in 2012 to 7.8 in 2021! All these journalism degree writers do not know how to listen to music, imo. Public education has failed them. Only recently Lana has begun being celebrated as song-writer, esp. with NFR. Bruce Sprinsteen said about Lana, "Simply One of the Best Songwriters . . . She just creates a world of her own and invites you in." So acknowledgement comes from musicians, not journalists, which forces journalists to pay attention. Sorry for the long post.
  10. Because the append of VB onto Taco Truck is the heavier, demo version, maybe it will fall fresh on your ears . . . from the review on Gigwise: Gigwise gave the album 10/10! Buzz is fever pitch! Disclaimer: I am saying from the virgin perspective of avoiding leaks . . . I, too, would like to experience DYKTTATUOB in one listen the way it is meant! Except for the singles. Of course I enjoyed those, esp. The Grants.
  11. Did you see Aaron's (ForWhateverReason on yt) review? He played both and immediately chose the demo. But I prefer the studio. It isn't Lana songs, but the videos. When the audio to Ride was released, it grew on me until I soared on the melody and the bridge . . . Ride lifted me to the sky, then a week later the video came out and smashed me to the gutter.
  12. What are you saying? You were drugged? Wow. Sorry.
  13. After I posted on the 9th, I stayed away from LanaBoards . . . But I remember the discussion about Kintsugi's "surprise," that it isn't music-related but it is for the fans . . . So my delulu projection I wasn't going to share is: Lana moves the diamond ring from her right hand to her left, and will announce her impending marriage! Until I scanned twitter for Lana mentions and this: Left hand, folks. And there is a slender, diamond eternity, or wedding band! Congrats to Lana! As a fan of 61 years, a mommy-of-Lana age . . . single or married, I hope Lana would find peace. I couldn't understand why fans were against Lana and the cop! Free protection, fans! I was like Mrs. Bennet crying in this scene from Pride and Prejudice acted superbly by Alison Steadman:
  14. It looks like an outdoor event on a day AM showers and a high of 58F . . . actually at the tunnel entrance at Junipero Beach a long stretch bet. Junipero Ave and Veteran’s Memorial Pier, visible to the left, above, according to FingerTipsMusic facebook post: Otherwise, looks like fun. Southern California band Pollen Collective will cover Lana tunes live, so it looks to go past an hour from the 5PM start time! https://www.facebook.com/FingerprintsLongBeach/posts/pfbid029p15W3Xja7AKdwRwRsZB7PQVS6RXStpxUCcYoKmkKgozM5baB6HjGvbL9Q6CC8dvl BTW, FingertipsMusic.com appears down, so you cannot RSVP as of this post.
  15. How did you guess it's grammy's favorite? Here is a little reaction / fan tribute I created for the studio version of Cherry Blossom . . . to be deleted in a day. Grammy Louise is happy and at peace with the release of Blue Banisters! And I'm not saying any of your opinions are not valid and rank other Lana songs and albums superior! Whatever speaks you! But Ocean is shaping up to surpass them all, I am worried!
  16. She doesn't need to do a "grammy campaign!" Lana already knows grammy 🧓 Louise loves her!
  17. Lana fan sending me to the dictionary Good job! I had read quixotic before, but never understood what it meant! I think you mean #1 more than #3, "apt to be deluded."
  18. Oh well taste. To me, that cover is everything! Edited to say, it shows what a good song-writer Lana Del Rey is . . . a strong operatic voice took it to another level!
  19. May I share this terribly indulgent cover on youtube by Broadway-worthy singer Luno St. Lux? . . . Blue Banisters didn't hit for me - especially WW, on which the outro is described by some as sloppy and I felt personally burnt too hot until this sensitive interpretation . . . After listening I tweeted it saying the Blue Banisters era is upon us! Enjoy!
  20. God thank God! Blue Banisters is the least liked album by many fans who post here, with special mention Beautiful as the worst song - how the vocals are [un]produced, done in one take, off-key, etc. But I like it! So does ForWhateverReason. Makes me excited for Kintsugi!
  21. I wasn't feeling it. Quinta Brunson is canceled. It is premeditated disrespect packaged as a lame joke. It isn't funny at all. Quinta Brunson represents everything that is nasty in the world and what Lana spoke about in her interview, when she got elbowed by passersby in Manhattan, and a book thrown at her head in San Francisco by a stranger, both of which are physical assaults. What Quinta Brunson said is a psychological assault. Shame on her. In public on a special day for Lana and her fans. Sza saved it by mentioning Lana Del Rey first of her list of namechecks at the beginning of her acceptance speech! Good on Sza! Real musicians get Lana. Real artists get Lana. Real people get Lana.
