Ooooh! Does that mean Lana is this week? Drumroll, please ............................
-
Ajayii reacted to Sza this past Friday. That means, Miley is this week, Lana next? Did someone start a Sza thread? Search results are "0" when I type in "sza." SOS is not for me . . . because almost every track there is auto tune effect on vocal. To each his own. Nobody Gets Me with a folky melody over strumming acoustic guitar featured a beautiful, less processed vocal.

Mend with Mere said some interesting observations about Change. I put the needle on the part I like, but the whole reaction is nice.

Thank you. Sweet is my fav off Ocean! Oh. Are you Orville, speaking in 3rd person? Or a fan? S'okay. Your grammy 👵 Louise understands. Very nice! Orville has the musical chops, and - more importantly - commit to the song! With all its arpeggios going up and down. Good job! It's okay. Is this not natural in conversation? But I moved my response . . . Nice to see other Lana fans appreciate Orville's artistry!

Going back to this thread, because a couple people on the Does anybody like every Lana song that she has released??? thread said lyrics to Textbook are "cringe." Ajyll doesn't think they're cinge! Like Ajay, I too am a blubbing mess with tears streaming down by the end of Textbook, the best song on Lana's best album!

Does anybody like every Lana song that she has released???
Louise replied to MakingOut's topic in Lana Thoughts
Like Lana casts a wide net, and the fringes catch me on one edge, and other fans at the other edge . . . Thx for liking Tomorrow Never Came . . . It might be suitable for adult contemporary radio . . . Maybe that's why some don't like it. But that doesn't make it bad. Let the Light In featuring FJM fits that category! Like, it's smooth. Edited to add: I enjoyed your single. Just listened. Nice voice, melody. -

Did you listen to the live? That is the only time I heard it. With Sean Lennon . . . at Jones Beach? It is delightful. -

Fav song off my fav album. -
Lana said she is closing @honeymoon. Lana said, "this account is closing." Italics mine. Lana didn't say there wouldn't be OTHER accounts!

Just logged on and read the past ten pages. Here are my thoughts. Probably. True. Since I never signed up for IG, I followed Lana's IG posts on LDRHoneymoonIG at twitter: Honeymoon is extremely valuable as an IG. Weddings - receptions, etc., is so huge a marketing category. Lana expressed surprise IG allowed her to have the Honeymoon account in the first place. Maybe IG wants it back! Or, in view of the recent official relase of leaked song SYTH, Lana is cyinically cashing in! SYTH being big on TikTok, at least Lana will be paid for the use of the leaked song. Maybe someone made a business proposition for Honeymoon Lana and team cannot refuse.

Lanaland is a name I think for an alternate universe created by Lana and the fans, like Dollywood the amusement park by Dolly Parton. The audience completes the artwork. Staring at a Rembrandt, putting yourself in a different scene, completes the painting made centuries earlier! Lana is considered top tier pop musician, with awards won, six Grammy noms, and 30 million albums sold. Lana's poetry, or lyrics, show up in mainstream lexicon. Lana invented "here for it" from Change, an obscure track, for example. "Here for it" was NOT a common phrase before Lana wrote it in a song, then the fans likely repeated it. Now, you hear, "here for it" everywhere! Change was released July 2017. March 2018 Xscape released an EP titled, Here for It. Lily Rose released a single May 2019 named, Here for It. Here for It: Or, How to Save Your Soul in America; Essays by R. Eric Thomas was released February 2020. This will be the thread I keep posting! If it's okay. I have to express myself. The expression Here for it initiated from Change, a song on a 2017 album of Lana Del Rey that wasn't even a single! But appears on one of her most popular albums, Lust for Life. That is the one that debuted at No 1 on the Billboard 200. It is a humble song. It isn't one of the four singles which got released: Love, Lust for Life, and hip hop-inspired Summer Bummer and Groupie Love. It is like a thought-piece song. But that phrase, "here for it," is everywhere.

São Paulo, Brazil @ MITA Festival - June 3rd, 2023
Louise replied to Elle's topic in 2023 Performances
Thanx for the photos/videos, @Elle! This one I thought was pro, but must be fan. It reminds me of Allison Hayes, the 50-ft woman Lana references in the Doin' Time video! Concert on IG through Blue Jeans. Misturapop on IG kindly recorded until his battery died, after 20 minutes of pre-show recording before the band took stage. So you may enjoy it from another angle. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CtDIa81LicD/ I'm done after São Paulo. I am glad no injuries were reported! Maybe I am too old. For the same reason I do not enjoy Olympic skating any longer with its dangerous spins, spirals, lifts, and jumps that might result in injury, these festivals with their medic tents set up to deal with drug overdoses and the greed of festival owners herding audience into tight enclosures, not allowing water bottles so they can profit from dehydration - let alone the careless audio - is ruining the experience. Appreciate the feedback from those who were there in person. Ty. -

Lana's face stays in place when she sings, but contorts to hit big notes! That is what I adore about Lana! Real singers open their mouths wide like opera singers for loud notes. Lightweight pop idols whisper into the mic, and let the studio backtrack supply the voice, while looking pretty. Choreo is their thing. Demi Lovato goes for the big notes even if you can see her tonsils. Demi Lovato values music over her image! Sia blows like Louis Armstrong blew into a trumpet, cheeks billowing out. That is probably why Sia she wears a wig! Sia sings ugly. Sia is pretty on the street. Just looks weird when she sings. Ann Wilson to me is another beauty who contorts her face to hit the notes. That is what I prefer. Lana's live Million Dollar Man was my fav Lana song for a decade! I combined a mic feed mp3 with fan cam posted to youtube to create this snippet . . . One of the best lives! Click the date to enjoy it on twitter. -
