My thoughts exactly. I upsets me to see people hate on her newer work. I get it’s an opinion, but there’s still a lot of similarities.

I definitely do understand that and get your point. My take is critics had been shitting on her for a while when I believe they should not have been (like btd), so to see them hype up NFR but hate on her past album just upsets me.

It’s almost haunting listening to it after knowing that. The AKA version is much more raw. The lyrics are just so amazing, “50’s babydoll dress for my I do, it only takes two hours to Nevada.” UGH, so glad this song is being talked about <3

Each album stands out, but if you look at her complete discography, I feel like it would be ranked in the middle.

Omg listen to Hello Hello and Don’t Go Breaking My Heart from Gnomeo and Juliet. Those songs go so hard idc.

Listen, NFR was great and has so many amazing songs. The writing was beautiful. However, if you compare it to other albums like Honeymoon, it’s not as good. Don’t get me wrong, NFR is pure poetry and I like the vibe, but compared to other albums, it doesn’t stand out as much. EDIT: If NFR is your personal favorite that’s amazing and YOUR opinion ! What I’m trying to get at is the media framing it as her best work because there’s so many other albums that deserve appreciation- if not more
