  2. My friend has already had a hard this year (her grandma died, her grandpa is sick, she just got covid…) and she’s a die hard Lana stan SO I reminded her of DYKTATOB dropping and it’s her motivation lol
  3. Me coming on here and seeing that this thread is hot and trying to find out if we found any new information
  4. Marina advocating for animals via Twitter and Instagram. It makes me lil vegan heart so very happy (and also the part of me that wants to END SeaWorld, MarineLand, and all other marine parks).
  5. First off, I’m not sure if there’s another thread like this, I couldn’t find any, but again there are SO many. To jump in, I am super inspired by films. They touch me like music does. My letterboxd is @sophialaluna if any of you are on there and would like to check it out. I find that people who connect deeply to music also find the same effect in movies. I would love to share my love for films with you all and to recommend movies that I think you would like. I would love to recommend films to my fellow movie lovers and chat about some of your favorite films with you. To start, share your favorite movies, directors, and actors. I’ll start: Movies: Coraline, Anastasia, Saw, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Girl Interrupted, Alice in Wonderland (1951), Peter Pan (1953) Directors: Tim Burton, Henry Selick, Sofia Coppola, James Wan Actors: Winona Ryder, Angelina Jolie, Helena Bonham Carter, Elle & Dakota Fanning, Courteney Cox, Rosamund Pike

    Song vs. Song

Wildflower Wildfire vs Dark But Just A Game
  7. Young And Beautiful. It’s truly such a beautiful song, I love the message, I would love to see it live. HOWEVER, I cannot stand listening to it after it was popularized there’s just something about it that I just can’t stand
  8. I’ve been thinking the same thing and I agree. Only thing is if it would be a locked thread (which I think would work best) means more for for Elle and mods.
  9. this is a mf masterpiece ! Shades Of Cool could also apply to West Coast in my opinion
  10. Maybe not all of these are considered forgotten or hidden, but I rarely or never see them being talked about
  11. If I joined Lanaboards sooner I would apply. Best wishes to those applying
  12. Lana’s latest post on honeymoon last pic reminds me of Marylin Monroe Edit: late lol, someone beat me to it
  13. Off To The Races both would slay though Off To The Races v.s. Bel Air Edit: my bad i thought i was at the end of the thread
  14. us waiting for the merch to drop (specifically the ldr lighter)
  15. 1. Born To Die 2. Blue Banisters 3. Honeymoon 4. AKA 5. Ultraviolence 6. Paradise 7. NFR 8. COCC 9. LFL 10. Sirens Each album is fucking amazing and it pains me to see some albums on the lower end when they’re so beautiful. My NFR and AKA placement is probably controversial but oh well.. this is coming more so from a personal standpoint than a critic standpoint, my ranking would be different coming from an unbiased standpoint
  16. I posted a somewhat long story on my Insta regarding Born To Die (with a lot of various references ). I can’t even begin to explain how much love I have for this album, it’s so beautiful and one of my favorite- if not my favorite albums.

    Melanie Martinez

When Crybaby came out I was a HUGE fan. I’m not as big into her now, I still love her and her music obviously (however these last few weeks I’ve been falling back into her music). Here are some of my recommendations that I would listen to in the order I put. I put brief descriptions (mainly my opinion) so you can always just listen to the few that speak to you Toxic- she covered it on The Voice, it’s absolutely beautiful Dollhouse- love the music video and the song obvi Carousel- such a vibe, pretty lyrics Dead to Me- revenge era Bittersweet Tragedy- such a soft yet deep song Soap- go to song when you say something stupid or something you regret saying Pity Party- my sad girl birthday anthem Tag You’re It- this is the song that got me into Mel, underrated perfection Milk and Cookies- I’ve been listening to this song constantly over the last couple weeks, the aesthetic, melody, and lyrics are so beautiful Mrs. Potato Head- such a touching song (and music video) regarding beauty standards Mad Hatter- weird, dystopian wonderland, truly just a great vibe Cake- very much giving reputation energy Strawberry Shortcake- nice beat, it’s about body image and how girls are expected to dress Recess- love the beat, lyrics, and message, it’s the type of song you want to scream despite it being pretty chill Hope this helps in some way and wishing you best on your Melanie journey and let me know what songs you like best !
  18. She doesn’t own the right to her own music she made which is why she’s been redoing her older albums which is honestly such a freeing thing to do. Marina’s former record contract expired so she’s free too. Lots of artists go through similar issues. Anyways, I’m manifesting A&W dropping as a single
