this is an interesting take that i haven’t thought of before, but i agree. a handful of her lyrics have an on the surface, basic meaning. however, that obvious meaning isn’t why she wrote it, only lana fans (mainly hardcore) would really get it. my aunt doesn’t like lana because “she has no talent.” when she told me that it made me angry because she is incredibly creative and her writing really isn’t basic . her voice isn’t either, and the aesthetic she creates with each album is unique. but yes, i do understand even if i don’t agree haha.

This picture was just posted on Sveta’s Instagram. They gathered for New Years. There will probably be more pictures and videos shared later on by other people who attended such as Chuck, Alana, Charlie, maybe even Lana. Edit: There is a video of Alana doing karaoke, which has been surfacing since the morning of December 31. She’s wearing the same outfit as shown in the photo above and the video seems to have been taken at night. Knowing this, I’m not entirely sure if this was a New Years celebration or when it happened. I believe it was in Hawaii, it looks like Lana and some of her family and friends took a trip there and that’s where the party was.

LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships
mssainttropez replied to Sitar's topic in Lana Thoughts
i totally agree. i think the take on axl rose is interesting and it’s possible, however, it does give this heavenly, utopian feel to it. the first time i listened to it i instantly thought of going into heaven. the children’s laughter also adds more of that heavenly feeling to it. it’s such a beautiful song, and i totally agree that she could’ve been inspired by axl rose, but there was something else that really drove the song. i went to bel air briefly a few months ago and it reminded me of the song. coincidently, i saw roses as well. it was such a fun, calming feeling. -
LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships

not me about to spend my night going through this thread haha -
an adiaml era collab i personally think would be the best. i’m such a huge marina stan, and while a lot of her popular tracks on adiaml are very pop, there are definitely a ton of hidden gems that would fit with lana so well. they both are lyrical geniuses, a collab would make me so happy no matter what it is !! however, i don’t think it’s going to happen on ocean blvd and it seems like they aren’t friends anymore. still crossing my fingers !

there’s nothing wrong with preferring lana’s older eras over her newer ones. there’s nothing wrong with wanting her to embody those same eras again. what’s wrong is expecting her to create newer music similar to her older music and not appreciating her newer music. i personally love how personal her newer music is. in blue banisters she mentions chuck, nikki, etc. in ocean blvd she mentions harry nilsson, which is a singer she loves and is inspired by. again, liking her older music over her newer music is normal, but you need to respect her newer music as well.
