  1. Does anybody know why they do this? Like do they keep the footage to themselves?
  2. and so it begins... will history repeat itself? The return of Lana Del Late? nevermind: ppl are saying she's on stage?
  3. not baguettes I fucking love this website lmao. How much time until Lana starts performing?
  4. then they unapologetically ripped off his production?. Will ask some of Rick's team on Instagram and see if I get any response from them for clarification (sometimes they do answer lol)
  5. 1. Honeymoon 2. Born to Die 3. Cruel World 4. Ride 5. Norman Fucking Rockwell 6. White Dress 7. The Grants 8. Love 9. Text Book
  6. pretty sure they were working on "Wait for Life" here, considering the dates and the fact that they're all involved in that song. I truly hope they worked on something else as well!
  7. "Starry Eyed" is definitely a Rick + Emile track. I will die defending my opinion. As a hardcore Emile stan, I can identify his production tricks all over that track. Yeah, the song leaked on Rick's website. But the sound effects and the drums are straight up Emile Haynie.
  8. she was starting her 'the longer the titles the edgier' era. Naming a song based on a Tolkien quote is definitely something she would do
  9. I always thought 'TNBAR' was produced by Emile, the engineers/additional producers emulated some of his soundscapes on that song (they're on the whole track, but they're noticeable around 1:58). Hell, even in 'Yosemite', you can hear a mimic of his loon throughout the song; more noticeable around 3:16. Not saying he DID work on that song, but maybe he was meant to produce those tracks but couldn't? On that Kieron Menzies/Dean Reid "SoundOnSound" interview, they said they emulated Max Martin's juno bass from his demo, to sound like his version, so maybe it's not that far fetched? Idk. Benny Blanco's known for working on single tracks on albums, I heard he's quite expensive to work with lmao. I don't think they did more songs.
  10. Do we know if they worked on more songs other than "Bartender" and "Happiness is a Butterfly" during this era? (not counting "TNBAR"). This is a pivotal moment in her working methodology and creative process, and what I personally refer to the 'Jack Antonoff Replacing Rick Nowels Tragedy' (as a joke, tho). What I mean is that; once she met Jack, something happened to the way she worked with Rick — as in 'basically they most likely never worked together on new songs again post-NFR!'.
  11. What we know: • If I recall correct the first songs she did with Jack were 'Love Song' and 'Hope is a Dangerous Thing...'. • She already had "California" and "The Next Best American Record" from previous projects. • "Doin' Time" was a last minute addition to the album. • The last song worked on was "Fuck It I Love You", that's why the production changed on the digital version?
  12. how is an opinion invalid anyway? They're personal beliefs not necessarily based on facts but our own perspectives, that's the fun of it. And even tho I disagree on your 'NFR!' hate, your take on 'Change' is literally factual information, the song was done at last minute lmao. Although I personally prefer it over 'Coachella'
  13. Poor Emile, tho. I wonder if he's aware of how does Lana feel about his job on 'Born to Die' and the thing she's said about it . I remember a few years ago, on an interview with Courtney she low-key dragged him, and said he basically ruined the original 'Blue Jeans' with his production. But at least they're on good terms, so perhaps he doesn't care. The thing is, whether she like it or not, Emile's touch is what made the songs as timeless as they are. People started to mimic Lana's sound from that era, especifically. But I get it, we all want to sound edgy talking down about versions of ourselves from the past. We grow up, she's in a diferent place now. I'm pretty sure if she could, she'd re-record that album the way she wanted to sound like now. And as much as I'm a hardcore Emile stan, it'd be interesting to hear a Jack Antonoff/Drew Erickson (& co) updated take on 'Born to Die', as in Taylor's re-recordings, maybe with Emile on board, as he basically crafted that whole sound
  14. She must truly love "I Can Fly", if she considered for both "Honeymoon" (2015) and "Blue Banisters" (2021), even AFTER she already released it for the "Big Eyes" soundtrack.
  15. I always found the name "Terrence Loves You" really intriguing, but "Violet Sings the Blues" is just... wow.
  16. Truly cursed. I bet she's not gonna cut any song from 'Born to Die'.
  17. I was so shocked when I found out that 'If I Die Young' and 'Cry Kill Die' were considered for 'Honeymoon'. They sound more like 'Lust for Life' to me.
  18. He's credited as an 'additional producer' and played the synth. But the whole track was made by most of Rocky's team (Boi 1da, T-Minus, J. Sweet, Hector Delgado & co.) I think this was one of the tracks Papa Rick had the least creative input (well, and 'Cherry', he didn't play a single instrument on that song).
  19. a Koz produced version of "Say Yes to Heaven"? as in Dua Lipa's producer Koz? Nah. That part sounds straight up fanfiction from this insider considering he's a Dua Lipa's stan. Brb, gonna DM Grandpa Nowels about this article so he can confirm how true it is, sometimes he answers DMs.
  20. can't disagree. It's actually one of my faves from that album. It's just the randomness of it being on the setlist! 💀
  21. If that rumoured setlist is true... I swear to God, this woman is so strange. • It's time to let "Blue Jeans" go already. The song is iconic and everything, but she has released infinitely better songs since then. Elizabeth, you've ditched "Ride" but NOT "Blue Jeans"? • Bringing back MORE songs from "Born to Die" 💀. I know she brought back "Diet Mtn Dew" because of TikTok but, following that logic, why not doing "Brooklyn Baby" as well? • The random ass choice of fucking "Love Song" is beyond my cognitive ability of understanding. • "Honeymoon" is always welcomed. • Lots song from "Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd" is the only thing exciting (to me). • But if the setlist is real, what I'm not forgiving is her NOT singing more songs from "Ultraviolence". I hope the setlist is not the final, and she proves me wrong.
