  1. "National Anthem" back? Yikes. Hate me if you want, but IMO, the only way that song sounded good live was when performed acoustic, back on 2012. I think she's paying dust to the "Chemtrails/Banisters" songs due to her thinking they're too slow for a festival, maybe? Although the nonchalant and dismissive way she says "no" to the fans when they ask her about those songs is kind of sad to me, ngl
  2. 3:23 — 'Got a shhh who turned down the backbeat'. That's what I hear on the acapella.
  3. There's a reason they considered and reworked this song so many times. There's something about this song. It's good. It's simple. It was a hit just waiting to happen. People like it for a reason.
  4. Realistically, considering this is a FESTIVAL, I think this is what she'll do: "Born to Die" + "Paradise" • Video Games (100%) • Blue Jeans (80%) • Born to Die (100%) • Summertime Sadness (100%) • Off to the Races (60%) (not sure about this one, she seemed kinda bored the last performances we got) • Ride (70%) "Ultraviolence" • Pretty When You Cry (100%) • Shades of Cool (80%) • West Coast (90%) • Brooklyn Baby (50%) — (she HAS to do this live, the normies/GP love this one). • Ultraviolence (50%) "Honeymoon" • High By the Beach (50%) "Lust for Life" • Cherry (100%) • White Mustang (50%) • Lust for Life (5%) — (she didn't even sign this song last tour, she only danced to it💀) • Love (0%) — (is like she even forgot this song even exists, a shame, since I love it so much). "Norman Fucking Rockwell!" • Doin' Time (100%) • Mariners Apartment Complex (70%) • Norman Fucking Rockwell (50%) • Venice Bitch (100%) — (she's definitely doing the 'Taco Truck x VB' mashup and ending with a mix with the NFR! version, mark my words). • Cinnamon Girl / Happiness Is A Butterfly (40%) — (she HAS to do these one live, the normies/GP love them). "Chemtrails Over the Country Club" + "Blue Banisters" • Chemtrails Over the Country Club / Arcadia (50%) — (if she even aknowledges these albums, I can see doing one of these and that's it. We're being delusional if we think she'd do "Dealer" unless she bring Miles). "Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd" • A&W (100%) • DYKTTATUOB (50%) • Taco Truck x VB (100%) • Paris, Texas / Candy Necklace (50%) • Margaret (100%) — (she's deffo bringing Jack at some point). — Songs I think she SHOULD do: • Diet Mountain Dew — (went viral on Tik Tok) • Art Deco — (gained popularity) • Medley: Cinnamon Girl / Tulsa Jesus Freak / Fishtail • If You Lie Down With Me • White Dress • The Greatest • Yes to Heaven — (went viral on Tik Tok) I will come back to check if my predictions came true.
  5. There's something fishy to me about that alleged Emile Haynie version of "Fine China". If we take into consideration the timeline, while Lana was working on early-"Ultraviolence", Emile was working on his debut record ("We Fall") and he said in a couple of interview he was pissed about not being able to work on "Ultraviolence". The only song they worked together during that time was "Wait for Life". So, timing's a bit off.
  6. Wait— you're right tho. Do we have any proof of reliability from this person?
  7. We should be grateful he's willing to share info. Maybe he doesn't even have access to the songs / can't share them, but at least we're getting info we never knew!
  8. I always thought she scrapped it not to have two songs with the world "girl" in it (Sad Girl/Your Girl), but then things like "Love"/"Groupie Love" happened and I was like nope.
  9. Cancel me if you want but: • I really like "Margaret", it makes me feel really happy inside, good vibes only and shit. • "Fingertips" is top 5 for me. It makes me cry so hard. I don't understand how can some people hate that song. It feels like the rawer, more honest sister of "Hope is A Dangerous Thing..." and "Wildfire Wildflower". • Y'all made me think that "Sweet" would be another "Beautiful" or "Violets for Roses", bit it gave me chills. One of the best Drew Erickson songs to date. The second verse/bridge is fucking fantastic. • I LOVE both interludes, LMAO. It's all about the ominous, eerie, uncomfortable vibes what I like. • I believe "Candy Necklace" is a little bit overrated, it does get repetitive a bit, don't you think? • I loved how meta the idea of incorporating "Venice Bitch" into "Taco Truck" is, but it was overhyped. I'm growing to like it, tho. I will end up loving it eventually, I'm sure. This is only my opinion, I don't meant to trash anyone else's points of views. I'm just stating what I personally feel about the songs, hehe. Perhaps I have a weird taste? 😅
  10. I hope Batiste makes another cameo. "Candy Necklace/Interlude" felt really innovative, even being mostly piano. Great job there.
  11. Question for the culture: Is the mastered/official version the one that censores the word 'mother' on 'Fingertips'?
  12. If we choose to ignore the toxic negativity of this post, there were some good points made here. She and her team are pretty bad at choosing singles. Having said that, you need to take into consideration: a) Her vision: Is Lana and her team chasing after hits? I would say it all depends on the era. (During the "Lust for Life" era, it was kind of evident they cared, during the "Blue Banisters" era, they probably gave up). But maybe the songs chosen as first singles are meant to represent the album and not to debut on the charts. Let's use "Dealer" as an example. That's a jam, but what else sounds like that song on the album? "Arcadia" or "Let Me Love You Like A Woman" are 'same old Lana by the numbers,' but they do a great job of encapsulating the vibe and mood of the albums they belong to. b) The current state of music/streaming and what's popular: Music is not instant anymore. What you release at some point might not be successful at the release date. Take into consideration songs like The Weeknd's "Die for You" or Sia's "Unstoppable". Songs like "Happiness Is A Butterfly," "Diet Mountain Dew," "Brooklyn Baby," "The Other Woman" (or even "Art Deco") weren't mainstream/popular (for Lana standards) back in the days when their respective albums were released. It took them years to become popular among the general public. If they had been released as singles, there would be a chance they would have done nothing.
  13. sadly, conservative/religious people think gay people in general are pedophiles/groomers. Which is absolutely disgusting and harmful for the queer culture. If God is love, and they're representing his beliefs, where the fuck is the love they believe in / preach about in situations like this one? Poor Sam, tho, but I bet they knew the response they were going to get with their performance. Probably they're laughing now. But the situation is still fucked up.
  14. I totally agree. The views about art change with time, perceptions are not eternally settled in time, they shape, based on opinions, growth and even cultural aspects. Time present and time past are both perhaps present in time future and all that. Maybe in a couple of years, people will end up considering "Coachella — Woodstock in My Mind" as a life-changing career highlight, you never know! It's the piano-talk and the toxic relationship between the fandom and the producers skills with a freaking piano what makes me laugh . Poor little piano, doing his best.
  15. Right? When "Blue Banisters" was released, people were TRASHING Jack. There were literally essays about how "Jack Antonoff only knows how to play chords, Drew Erickson is a REAL pianist". And now they hate Drew and love Jack, like: ???? This fandom is literally traumatized by an instrument, it makes them shape-shift their views lmao
  16. Btw, just a thought but... what if we actually DON'T have a music video this era? We haven't heard anything about a music video shooting and/or behind the scenes. Unless they're keeping it all ultra secret (which seems unlikely, since everything Lana does has the tendecy to leak). I'd be so bummed. Even during the "Chemtrails" era, we had a huge video, a beautiful one, and... whatever the "Let Me Love You Like A Woman" music video was supposed to be. Heck, even "Blue Banisters" had visuals. With this era is being promoted way more than the previous ones, it makes sense to have a music video, right?
  17. Woah, is "Chromatica" an universally hated album around here? I'm not the biggest Gaga stan or pop music lover, but I found it quite a fun listening experience (?)
