  1. "TACO TRUCK" . This is the most random ass tracklist and I'm here for it. The label really wants a N°1 debut. Fuck Miley.
  2. "Love Song" and "Beautiful" are the most basic titles ever. She has way too many songs with the words "beautiful" and "love" in it. Love • Love • Groupie Love • Love Song • Fuck It I Love You • Puppy Love • Let Me Love You Like A Woman • True Love on the Side • You're Gonna Love Me • Baby Blue Love Beautiful • Beautiful • Beautiful People Beautiful Problems • God Bless America — And all the Beautiful Women In It • Young and Beautiful • Life is Beautiful
  3. The audacity to insult the man who gave us the song "Ultraviolence" and "Old Money" . I agree about "You & Me" being a bit of a boring song, tho. But yeah, he's more of a composer than a producer. His string arrangement on songs like "Ride", "Gods & Monsters" is top notch. But he's better as a 'working as a team' kind of guy.
  4. Not gonna lie, the way they're gatekeeping the tracklist and avoiding it to leak and the subsequent theories and fake tracklist is one of the best parts of a pre-release album cycle, lol. But it's anxiety-inducing, indeed.
  5. I'm tempted to ask Dan Heath about "Melancholia" but I'll wait a little bit, after the "You & Me" spam that I did yesterday 💀
  6. CONFIRMED: "You & Me" was recorded on 2010/2011, around the time they did Blue Jeans: EVIDENCE by Dan Heath.
  7. and Patrick fucking Warren, poor grandpa. Catfished by a fan only to get unreleased songs that weren't even finished but he did his best ):
  8. Just did it! + also asked him what year is "You & Me" from. Any updates I'll bring the tea!
  9. "Blue Jeans" was the first known song they worked together, but they've been friends from decades, maybe "You & Me" is even older?
  10. He's the sweetest. He actually follows me on Instagram💀 and we chat once in a while about music. He has a music project called "Lawless" (you should check some of his work if you're a fan of the songs he did with Lana, listen to "In the Name of Nothing", for example). I try not to harass him with questions about Lana all the time so he doesn't feel uncomfortable, but if you have any question you'd like to know about Dan/Lana songs, I'll try my best to ask him!
  11. We can add to the "list of things we learned today" this confirmation from Dan Heath himself, confirming he indeed worked on the "You & Me" song: LINK I sent him a DM and he politely answered!
  12. I don't think she even did a vocal take of "Sad Girl" with Dan Auerbach, they just kept the OG vocal track done previously with Rick and Dan built the instrumental around it. Same thing Paul Epworth did with "Black Beauty". I'm kind of sure that they also kept the same vocal take from the "Ultraviolence" demo, sans the bridge, perhaps, which sounds different. And then Dan brought in the backing vocalists whom he works with on The Black Keys records. All the other "Ultraviolence" tracks produced by Auerbach were probably takes recorded 90% live, as they stated on multiple interviews. Even the "Money Power Glory" produced by Dan is another vocal take, I believe.
  13. Updated Wish-List: -Dark City -Ave Maria (with vocals) -Crazy for You (Final Version) -Yes to Heaven (Real Final Version) -Fine China (Real Final Version) -Your Girl (Real Final Version) -Pink Champagne (Let Me Love You Like A Woman Demo) -Earthquakes -Lake Placid -LA Who Am I -Loved You Then and Now -Sugary Sweet -Melancholia -Black Beauty (Concept Demo) -California (Demo) -Brooklyn Baby (Demo) -The "Cali is hot" song -Guns and Roses (Dan Auerbach Version) -Pretty When You Cry (Dan Auerbach Version) -Shades of Cool (Demo) -Cruel World (Electric Lady Studios Demo)
  14. About "Lust For Life" (title track): "According to Menzies and Reid, 85 percent of the album was written and recorded at Nowels’ The Green Building studio in Santa Monica, while everything was mixed there by the two of them. Work on the new album began in 2015, immediately after the completion of Honeymoon, with a recording session for the title track at The Village Recorder in LA" — LINK
  15. Speaking of which, are the "Pink Flamingos" / "Ice Cream" demos actually produced by STINT?
  16. @BlackoutZone do you know anything about this version of "Flipside" from Blake's instagram? LINK
  17. Not that I'm an insider or anything, this is just a theory, but I think Blake or Lana might have said at some point on an interview that they both wrote / recorded "Cruel World" on one live take. So, they must've had a reference/rough demo for Dan Auerbach to work with (?). Something similar to the "Pretty When You Cry" takes.
  18. Same thing happened with "Black Beauty". They kept the audio/vocal takes produced by Rick, and Dan/Paul worked only on the instrumentals!
  19. @BlackoutZone any updates on the Yes to Heaven/Fine China/Your Girl essay? 👀
  20. I personally believe that by officially releasing the song, it would be a nice way to give this song its deserved happy ending. People would be able to freely stream the song officially (especially now, given its random TikTok popularity among the GP). Now, the thing is, if the song ever finds a home, it'll start another endless chapter/discussion on the "(Say) Yes to Heaven" Discourse: "Will fans by satisfied with the 'final/officially released' version?". They probably won't, so this song will probably always be talked about in years to come 💀
  21. "EYEYE [Side B] — EP"? with the outtakes? considering she said she doesn't care about streams I can see it happening!
  22. speaking on the topic. Are the lyrics on Spotify reliable?
  23. Truly unpopular opinion: I really LOVE Arcadia . The melody of the chorus made me cry the first time I listened to it, but then again, I'm a sensitive-as-hell cancer dude.
