Okay so I recently had a family member diagnosed with cancer for the second time and the lyrics “promise I’ll still love your garden, even with no flowers” in Bombs On Monday Morning just HIT! It’s such a beautiful metaphor for someone losing her hair due to chemotherapy I may talk a lot of shit about her new stuff (and I stand by it) but when I say she had a huge impact in me years ago, I’m not lying! She’s so unique, has a beautiful voice and resonates a lot with my emotional side. Her metaphors and the topics in her songs make me feel seen, or at least it was that way up until now. I have replayed BOMM, Garden, Eraser, Gluestick and Tag Your It so many times, you have no idea! And when I critique her recent output I don’t do it just to hate on her, it’s just frustration cause I know she can do sooo much better and I was rooting for her! the Portals leaks are sooo good, been listening while traveling around centre Europe and it hits different with all the mythological and místicas vibe… she really dropped the ball there. Dragons Blood, Death (Demo), Void (demo), Garden, Needle & Thread, Mother Of Pearl, Magnets, Emerald and Fingers Crossed deserved better.

I would recall Donde Están los Ladrones and Laundry Service as her best projects… the lyricism and the instrumentals (she used to produce all her stuff) are so unique to her style! Both Oral Fixations are good too, but they lack cohesion, tracklists in her case are always a mess. She Wolf is good but too short and, again, not cohesive at all. It has gems here and there tho like the title track and Gypsy. Sale el Sol and Shakira are good too but a little more basic. El Dorado is no doubt her worst! Don’t Wait Up is not outstanding or anything, but at least was a change of direction, sadly after her beef with Spanish hacienda made her go back to the cashgrab trash don’t get me wrong, reggaeton can be made cleverly, like she did with La Tortura (a BOP with one of her best lyrics in Spanish) but nowadays seems lazy

U thought u ate? DIP and WOTB are SO scrapped, it’s been YEARS! She probably recorded thousands of songs after those… but if “calling people out” makes u feel morally superior… do u, boo in my opinion, if she’s not planning on releasing anything soon (it’s been like that for years now) at least leaks keep the fandom interested

no-music, nothing to be a fan about… it’s that simple! im not promoting leaking stuff she’s planning to release (obvi) but I don’t see the problem of it being leaked once the project it’s scrapped so easy to judge, but I bet you listen to leaks too

same thing, since she gave us the snippet until it was leaked so much time passed, that song was never coming to be released… let’s be real! I agree sometimes the leaks can affect an artists output but I don’t think this is the case

I find It funny that u say the reason she hasn’t released anything further +30mg it’s because of the leaks when the DIP EP leaked years later after the date it was “supposed” to be released… that might be the case with other artist but with Teddy Im certain that’s not the reason, something is holding her back and it’s not the leaks. It’s pretty obvious anytime she announces something she gets tons of hate comments still from the X Factor fiasco… I think that’s the reason we are not getting any! She should release DIP or whatever and let the art speak for itself, I mean… the talent is there and that’s for sure!

theme wise maybe, but the title doesn’t resemble anything child-like like the rest of songs in CB. Only the “mommy sold me for candy” thing and that is a bit of a stretch

Off topic, but I just revisited Troubled Paradise after a while (I stoped listening to it since I got a little fed up after replaying it so many times when it came out) and how can it be so… flawless? like 0 skips, all kind of flavors, topics and genres! She really is one of a kind and understands pop like no one else! specially from Dog House up until Villain is just PERFECT Starfucker is a great follow up, don’t get me wrong, but TP will forever be what made me fall in love with her music

I would looove that! But as far as we know there’s only two more songs left from that era, and to be fair, CB outtakes are considered as such even before the Dollhouse EP so it’s easy to assume that, with the Dollhouse success, the label wanted to make her record a ton of songs for her debut. With K-12 and Portals seems like she had the direction a little more clear while with CB she hesitated a bit more (songs like Run, Million Men, Dear Porcupines, Gold Diggin Love and Trophy Wife don’t relate to the child-like themes). She spent years in the studio before finding her identity as an artist, and it shows! I recall her saying she recorded about 30 or so tracks for K-12 but I’m not sure. Anyway, any leak is welcome at this point! Preferably K-12 or CB!

well, she did say the concept of the album was already done with the K&OL sessions but she had to rewrite all the songs to fit the titles… im not 100% sure we already have everything, but I don’t think there’s much left

so true, we already have all Portals unreleased tracks (except for Menance To Society maybe) and After School outtakes are real bad with the exception of Function, History and Trophy (Spin The Bottle had potential tho) On the other hand, all K-12 unreleased we have are BOPs and I’m curious to know how the rest is

I actually think she should release HORNY4U and Ayesha.FM both simultaneously if she wants to give the fans what they want. that way we could also get Control: the Final in another project instead of 2 songs with the same name in H4U, Synthetic, Girl Next Door, Begging For It, the viral cover of Ill Do It, Love You Down and Blue Monday, I Will, Makeup Bag and the full version of Lina Morgana!!! with those 2 albums she has her biggest hits secured on streaming and can retire peacefully if she wants (not that I want that but u know… she changes her mind a lot)
