So funny how Melanie and her die hard fans were saying to wait till the HD album before criticizing like it would make a huge difference after she teased literally all the songs in the tracklist! And people still hate it that said, Moon Cycle ate and I don’t wanna hear otherwise (y’all are trippin) Garden deserved a spot Light Shower and BOTL are horrible and need to be erased from earth

Also, the new Moon Cycle slaps!

sorry but the chorus is still outrageous… even if the verses are good, a song can’t be 50/50 the thing is some other songs like BOTL and LS are even worse so…

Needle & Thread 11. The Contortionist 12. Evil 13. Void (Original) with the right transitions this could work really nice, story wise it can also be interesting! First she reincarnates (Death), runs through the forest and escapes from the dragon which is the representation of depression and kills it (Dragons Blood), reaches a fountain and becomes a nymph (full form) with multiple other women while several people are watching between the trees (Nymphology), when she surfaces and comes back to the forest to be approached by several satyrs who are only looking for sex but avoids them (Tunnel Vision), enters a fairy dance but manages to escape representing the addiction to party and alcohol (Faerie Soiree) and falls in a pit full of leeches that try to suck her dry like the industry does with artists (Leeches). Then she’s trapped by a giant spider which is supposed to portray social media nowadays (Spider Web). She finally finds a lover (a werewolf) and tries to seduce him even if she’s on her period YUH (Moon Cycle), but he finds another girl in town so she kills him and uses the body as fertilizer in her greenhouse (Garden). She finds another lover (Needle & Thread) but he ends up being another manipulative jerk that forces her to fit his standards literally by demanding a show of contortionism (The Contortionist). She breaks up with him (Evil) and ends up dying again to start all a lover again in another universe (Void). this way the album would have explored more themes than the Oliver Tree breakup, she should have scrapped the diss tracks Damn Melanie, u had AOTY in your hands…

Okaaayyy! The first listen in Hd and it’s better than what I thought… still think it could have been much better: 1. Death - 7: it’s a cute opener but not much replay value for me 2. Void - 7.5: Same as Death, I prefer the leaked version. Also the transition doesn’t work 3. Tunnel Vision - 10: A bop as we all new, the new production is cute but that outro could have been better as a Faire Soiree intro… it only adds lenght to the song and this could be one of the most streamed of the album so not a very smart move. That said, the intro transition into the actual song may be the only satisfying one in the whole album 4. Faerie Soiree - 7.5: It’s cute, could be longer as many songs here… different to what we’ve heard so far. Once again, horrible transitions 5. Light Shower - 4: the instrumental is cute but I expected a switch up, the lyrics are very bad also. Very long for what it’s worth 6. Spider Web - 5.5: the verses are really good and that pre-chorus, are u kiddin me? And then that beat drop happens… sorry but I think I will never be able to get used to it 7. Leeches - 8: Very cute “ballad” and the new production added to the song 8. Battle Of The Larynx - 4.5: It’s not a bad song, but in the context of the album… it’s a no. But imma give it up to that outro… beautiful!!! 9. The Contiortonist - 9.5: a bop!! The samples really add to the vibe of the song… only critique I’m missing a last chorus… the lack of bridges in this album I swear! 10. Moon Cycle - 8.5: Okay… this new production is really good and I enjoyed the song a lot more than I would like to admit! The lyrics are still horrible though 11. Nymphology - 9: As I thought, really good and catchy. I don’t get the hate honestly 12. Evil - 8: from all the “rock” songs my favourite, but nothing new there 13. Womb - 6.5: A cute closer, but I expected more… still really catchy Overall the album is better in HD… still wish Garden, N&T or Dragons Blood replaced Light Shower, Spider Web or BOTL… also those transitions… veeeery bad!

I can’t be the only one that thinks the transitions are a mess… like the songs get chopped with no sense and even if the practical sounds try to make it “cohesive” there is no way this flows correctly other than that, the album is cute… still have to make my own tracklist, but with this transitions it will be difficult

My only explanation to what has happened to Melanies artistry is that with time she has become more camp to the point of becoming a drag queen. She’s pretty much givin Azaelia Banks, Iggy Azalea, Fergie Cartwheeling, Hilary Duff dancing, Mariah Carey talking about 9/11, Nicki Minaj livestream,… That’s pop star status right there Theres no way she’s not being ironic with these concepts; the “penis in your mouth” lyric, a song about periods (YUH), that ugly alien costume, some production choices, the ex diss tracks, Spider Song, the messy / horrible promotion etc. Its impossible in my mind that the same person that came up with the idea of Crybaby is doing all of this in a serious way, she must be half trolling Her deciding to go full pink wifey alien is givin me:
