Its going to be interesting to see how well, or how fast Halsey races up the charts to #1. Could very well blow up huge for her, if she creates the right sound/style. Its their already IMHO, but haven't heard the full album yet.. only a handful of songs. Some great, some not so great, but she has the potential to do it. Shes has a great talent. Halsey.. Hackney weekend concert was fricken amazing IMO. Beautifully done. Not sure if it were this one or another around that time, but Barrie come out with Lana holding her hand, and she looked like she would faint. she was chain smoking/puffing right into the first song intro.. so nervous, it was cute too.. but was she ever shaken.. shes a hell of a lot better going on stage now, but still looks uncomfortable with it, in between songs, etc..never seems to effect her vocals tho.. I can't tell if she is nervous from her singing..

I know your post was a general post, and no offense, but, I'm certain there are a few on here (maybe not for long..lol) that are music biz people, or knowledgeable about it thru others close to them..but thats not important really,.. How would you react to an artist, if you invest a couple million dollars in them and you run a label? Who would you want to sign and why? Who would you want to invest more money in and why? Its quite simple really, just business. nothing to complex, and it can be cold and unforgiving (like other business's) unfortunately. As a business, you will like the maximum return for your investment. Not to say every label, are monsters or anything that extreme, but its about the money. The label is not a fanbase, and some of them try to take and change artists completely.. there are always exceptions in everything tho..

Yes, as much as I don't want to agree, (Lana - peaked),Cannot hide the truth. This might be quite true indeed. (BTD to UV to HM..) Doesn't mean she can't still put out some great songs from time to time..tho.. the greatest songs.. Maybe Interscope doesn't see HM as a commercially viable huge revenue producing machine.. like BTD was.. And true- I have never listened or really even heard anything much about Selena G, until I did hear 'Good for you', and loved the song and style. (I mentioned somewhere, something about Lana doing that song, for me IMHO- would have sounded great.. maybe a few different lyrics here and there), but anyway, looking more at selena, she really is getting huge right now. (on media anyway..), and now with this single of hers.. shes making big ripple waves in the music world ocean. I couldn't beleive the amount of views her single made so fast.. and all her subscribers, etc..she is very well known. LOL. Lana is a strong minded lady too, and im sure some of the label people are hard to convince as well, so probably some head butting going on a little as well.. Oh well, at the end of the day- Lana does her stuff for her right? and me and you..

hmmmmm.. kind of used to her the way she is.. just trying to think what she would be like, if she posted on twitter couple times a day.. she might lose her mysterious allure and her elusiveness that lends to her style.. and become boring and 'normal'.. keep them wanting more and never let them to close.. but then many people will lose patience after awhile.. so?? dont really know..

you just found her today? awesome, for me was about 2 or 3 months ago.. hooked on hurricane. Put on some great headphones and play hurricane. Fricken amazing.. then listen to it again, with the vocal/guitar her on the stool version only.. also amazing.. Is there somebody also a great song.. I wonder what the new album will be like..

Yes, I think she gets bored and sidetracked and loses focus easily, Like me..lol.. she probably feels like she has done enough for now, and it should suffice for now.. Thats how I feel too.. a total free spirited person kinda, and this usually ends up pissing off people whom are like.. " okay tomorrow at 0800 we have to do this and that, and bla bla.." Yes agree, but at the same time, sometimes artists reinvent themselves into oblivion. I think its good to do new things and change out a little, as long as the core greatness of what 'was' really great is still there. Its great to see artists mature in their music, like for example I never heard any songs in my life from selena g, but heard "Good for you", and totally blew me away.. could have sounded incredible if Lana did that song. But people say she changed her style completely for that song.. i think it is killing it as far as commercially right now. its huge and beautifully done. Lana BTD era was huge, but the UV was good to, if she can still create sounds and songs like thos albums, with some newer influences,, that would be great i think, and alot of people would like it, but if she changed out drastically to something completely different from 'everything' she has done before, may not go over well with anyone. so thats a bit worrying.. however, no one can deny, that her voice and depth is beautiful. absolutely incredible.

perhaps Rob wont post anymore, if Lana were to do a remake of Jim Morrisons 'This is the end'..lol.. he'll be scared of her.. (ref- posts above on Rob G)

Yes,I could imagine how good she is live.. she was on a american talk show a week or 2 ago, and her live vibe was really strong.. What kind of shows has she been doing? like festivals and stuff?.. has she toured in a big arena setting yet? (either opening or headlining).. I'll have to check her out more, and see how long he has been out and how many songs, etc..I only found her fairly recently..

I have only heard 2 song of Tove's and really like her voice and the songs. (Habits and Talking body). (actually both were introduced to me, from TV talk shows.. good promo) Any other similarly great songs of Tove's y'all can recommend me listen to? I think i may like her alot. (I'll youtube her when i have more time..)
