yes, any theme can get boring if its always the same topic. (lyrically) (Thats why some artitsts i like, have personas where they are not 'just a one trick pony' and can sing multiple styles/concepts, down ..some up..etc..) problem with that, then is the fans who buy your records and go to your shows for your 'mellow' style, will conflict with fans whom like your upbeat songs.. some like the blue flame, some the red you know? Springsteen is an axample i have thought about in the past- he can have super depressing mellow deep songs, as well as 'dancing in the dark' and they crowds love both songs. I think that is great songwriting, when you can cover many levels and still be great not singing about the same topic in most of the material. Lana could do (and has done alot of different topics- lyrically), its just alot of the catchy phrasing and key words that have been repeated.. actually come to think of it, stevie nicks has done that alot too in her catalogue.. hmmm... maybe ther is something there.. a devil you know..better than a devil you dont know sometimes..

there are actually so many good ones nowadays.. like tons of great artists with great talent. It seems like i find a new one like every week or 2.. would be alot of fun to be a A&R rep or even label head.. I'd have alot of fun going around to meet and sign artists all over the world.. wonder how i could find a job like that? Hmmmm..

wonder if she will spend the rest of summer in cali, or go back to the start, could go back to new york.. where no one knows who we are..

(like alot of us..lol..), but i think thats about it. they do know each other obviously, but im fairly certain she didn't want much to do with a book being written about her.. i wonder if (like someone else posted above), it will be alot of fairly pretentious poetry writings and such.. after all, james is an actor.. if so, not too interested in that kinda read, which i would suspect maybe that would be the case.. but if its actually interesting original factual info on her, that would be very cool.

I have seen Franco in movies and stuff and like some of that stuff, but WTF does him writing a book about conversations with Lana even mean? like seriously, this is very very odd. A weird thing to do IMO. Guess franco's always been a wierd person to tho.. but i dont understand why he and the other 'author' are doing this. i sure would like to know how much Lana contributed to it, and what she actually thinks about it.. remember that interview awhile back?, where she told him- "write around me, its better that way.. its better if they dont really get me.." this all seems really weird to me.. wonder what Franscesco thinks about it too.. lol..

Agnes Obel- 'close watch' -starting to go thru some of her other songs..(Voice almost identical to Lana) but very mellow..lol.. also.. heard Good for you- and thought that sounded great too.. then found it was selena gomez..lol.. oh well give credit where credit is due, she sounded amazing on it.. dont like the rapping by asap in the middle tho..

LOL, yes, sometimes threads go the next level.. sometimes i feel dumb and get lost in the sentences too..LOL.. sometimes people just like to show how well they command the english written language, but sometimes people can show how intelligent and elequent they are. as long as people aren't being to snobby and can help us in more layman terms , its all good. its hard on forums to see a persons tru motives. there are some good smart writers in here too occasionally.. guess we can all learn to be better at it..

wow, super curious to see what the rest of the songs on honeymoon will sound like to me. I listened again and again to HM, but although her voice sounds absolutely beautiful in this production, like mind blowing incredible, i still do not like the song as a whole. Just can't get into it.. if the production is as good though for the other songs on HM as this one, just imagine how amazing some other songs might sound like..

I think (if you like her), you will like her regardless of whether she gained or lost 100 pounds. I could care less if she got fat or skinny, as long as she stays relatively healthy. Of course its nice when people can look like a superheroin, but in reality its not that important. More important then losing any weight, Lana should quit (or cut right down) on smoking cigarettes. Smoking cigs is plain and simple- not good for you. (expecially chain smoking- the worst thing you can do to your body.) she looks cute and healthy otherwise to me..

I like a couple songs of his now that i've been hearing them.. he has kinda a cool sound.. but any truth to this speculation? I can't see Lana and him doing any music together..

I think Lana looks great. (i know people say there is a image to maintain, and so on and so forth), but thats my view on it. She can look any which way, and its fine to me.

I was watching a movie the other night, and could have sworn that Lana was doing the song for it. Blew me away, and i started sweating..lol.. I was thinking i'd post something great for all you guys/girls on here.. then googled it, and found it to be a song by a lady named Agnes Obel.. then i read her bios and stuff, and was shocked to see her influences and thinking..(movies was- 'october gale' ..dont know the song name..) then at a starbucks, and a background playlist song was on of some new song, thought the same thing.. blew me away, i asked them, and they checked the playlist and said it was someone else (cant remember the name- think they got it wrong..but guess it obviously wasn't Lana.. there are quite many female artists out there sounding just like Lana. I usually can pick the differences (I have a very good ear for tonal/melodic whatever), and like to think i can tell whom is who, but some of them really fool me with the similarity of voice. I'm starting to hear her voice everywhere. (and its not her)..kinda wierd..

Agree with most of this..expecially the illisions of depth from a song by someone. i have seen interviews with people, that show a huge deep effective song, and the maker says, he/she was thinking about what to have for dinner when they wrote..lol.. and then the opposite to, a callous, shallow lyrically sounding song, that can have deep undertones of all kinds of things going on under it, in the makers mind at the time.. i think alot of that comes from the listener. we all can listen to a song by someone, and some will see extreme depth, others will say nothing for them.. we all see what we want to see in a song i guess..thats why its fun when people can write in a way (like Lana does sometimes), where lyrically you can have some real play on words/meanings..

no dis to Lanz, but she can be replaced. easily. there are a ton of fucking great girls out there. a ton. i see them all the time.. occasionally one or two really, really stand out, like she once did, and still does from time to time. its music biz people.. get used to it.

Holy Fuckin shit.. just read thru the first few hundred posts on the YT vid of honeymoon.. Wow. lots of people don't like it. lots of people do like it. We need the full album people. peace out bitches turning points coming me thinks.. either up or down.. regardless of what LDR gave us, whether she gets bigger, or smaller (in the public eye), always remember the tunes she gave us that we each love. really thats all that remains and all that is important. still dont see honeymoon yet.. no effect on me.. great voice, but the song meh.. not doing it.. wish it impacted me. like some of the other albums.. thats why i need this new full album!!!!!!!!

I dont know what to say yet.. so i won't say anything for awhile.. dont want to be construed as negative, and ruin the moment.. her voice is beautiful as always, but the song doesn't grab me by the boo boo just yet.. as others of her did. i wish it did, need more time, more listens.. one thing for sure, Lana is not the same Lana from a year ago, or 2 years ago.. regardless, what she puts out in the future (now), her great voice/style/sound/writing, will always be my favorite EVER. actually what i really want, is to listen to the FULL ALBUM in its entirety. i really, really wish it was out sooner than September..
