She has mentioned before that Starfucker was her last album with the label. And she was in a hiatus bc of her contract she couldnt release anything for a while. Which is why No Comma was teased so long ago and not released until now... If you look at No Comma on Spotify it will say "Slayyyter, distributed by Stem" which is basically a platform for artists to release their music through. This is the first time one of her releases has said this.

thats what i originally thought she was saying bc it was dropping right at the same time kim was dropping slut pop miami and there was all that drama and controversy between the stans. but i had been wondering lately if it might be "fader label" because this song is the first after dropping from the label, and the song makes plenty of references to hating the labels and the music industry. she has recently reiterated the song being about her distaste for a lot of the bigger music industry and what goes down. her not having lyrics posted on the spotify upload is also annoying lol. I always hear the "sometimes they're bitches" part as "those sons of bitches".

every single line in no comma is golden. she was right to brag about being the only writer on every track for her next album because this is whats missing from the imitators songs. and the production is insane. it captures exactly the chaos and sleaze that shes trying to depict with the song like its just... perfectly crafted. you can SEE the events of this song while its playing. Its giving Miami the same way Everything Is Romantic gives Italy in my mind.

I always see this: "I just think its funny that everyone critiques (artist I like) for working with Dr. Luke but not (artist I don't like)." On every single artist's trending discourse that works with Dr. Luke. Reality is we actually ARE saying this about everyone that works with him lol. And also, what are your metrics for this? Lol. You're going through everybody's profiles? I actually do hate Katy Perry, Kim Petras, and many others... typically equally! And refuse to support them anymore. This album has been funny because it really is the same quality of all of Katy's works, yes even her "best" albums the fandom loves to say are pop bibles. This has always been the type of music Katy makes so I just dont understand where all the hate comes from. Its exactly what her music has always been: catchy radio earworms of little substance and flashy over the top videos. And thats fine, just enjoy it!

I have seen her live 3 times now. And this was during the encore, she does definitely get tired by the end of the show. I'm not really saying that in a negative way, shes always a very high energy performer and saves the better more vocal intense songs like Miss Belladonna for the beginning. But just to say this clip can definitely not be taken as a good indication of what the song is like lmao. Seems like this song is kinda in the same vein as Purr though.

Yeah I do actually, and the fact that yall think every single stream on Boys is from a mystical hypothetical made up in your head "nonfan" and every other stream on every other "good" Charli song is done only by "real fans" shows you have the mental capacity of a middle schooler. To say there arent fans that like Boys is just fucking stupid when its literally one of her most popular songs of all time. Its easy to be stuck in an echo chamber on stantwitter and fan obsessed message boards like this but you have got to realize there are actually a lot of people who go to concerts who are casual fans who want to hear the big popular songs and not some obscure deepcuts from 2 albums ago.

Charli has entire albums that dont even add up to that amount combined. Setlist is about what I expected. I saw the Crash tour and that show was almost the entire tracklist of Crash with Vroom Vroom and a few others including the radio "hits". I dont really understand what everyone is bitching and moaning about. This is the tour going on during brat album which is a fantastic album, one of her best. This is the time to hear those songs live. I'm sorry you missed her previous tours and shes not playing some random track off how im feeling now but lmao what did you really expect?! I just think its hilarious that when the tour first was announced all the other little stan gremlins were talking about how it was so dumb of them to do an arena tour and even their fandoms combined couldnt sell the tickets and it was all a huge mistake. Now look at it. Entire tour is sold out. The entire pit is shoulder to shoulder going crazy. The only concert I have been to this size was Ariana Grande and she couldnt even sell out the pit in my location and there was tons of empty space. We were all literally running back and forth following her as she went down the runway of the stage. This is going to be above and beyond packed compared to what I'm used to when I go in a few days...

Like others said, the new artwork looks really good and I did buy the pressing as well but definitely was expecting just a little bit more? I know theres only so much space on a vinyl, and the tracklist was already 14 tracks and so there probably wasnt much space left to add more to it... but I guess I just expected the new track to be something new like taken out of her archives from when the album was made and finished up and released. Would have been really cool. Just with all the hype and all the things she was doing hinting at this coming... would have been cool to even have a 2LP set with Hello Kitty, Platform Shoes, Ghost, I'm High, Sweet Sixteen?, Drive Thru, Swimming Pool, Snow Angel, etc. plus the alleged new songs she was working on, it would have been insane. I get why she said she doesn't feel the need to go back to the old sound for new songs but...

i have progressed away from pop music in some ways on the next one. its really thrilling to make a project so different, i feel like the occasional feelings i have (being afraid if people will like it or not) means im doing the right thing. i love starfucker and will always be proud of that project (justice for her ahaha) but i didn't want to make a part 2. don't wanna say too music but it all feels really distorted, still danceable, nostalgic of music i had on my ipod growing up. a lot heavier, more punk electronic, loud. its sicker than anything ive done. not right now but there are some bands im a fan of that i really want to work with very very fun plans all being revealed so so so soon... BLACK&(RED)WHITE AND BLUE i already started my next album thats a big step away from that sound. I was trying to work on two different sounds at once, making mixtape reminiscent songs and my new stuff and it was taking me away from being immersed in my next project which is more important to me. also i kind of realized theres no reason to revisit what ive already done that hard, it would maybe be fun for one little droplet tho... i guess it has. its been almost a year and i toured that album put out the deluxe etc. im kind of over the era thing in general though. everything will always feel like me, i dont need a big reinvention or to dye my hair for something new. you guys will get the vibe. have some fun things for my 5 year anniversary coming and then next year we're cranking up i feel scared to answer this because then people get the wrong idea of when stuff is coming lolol. but i will say, im working a bit differently this time. starfucker i made SO MUCH music and narrowed it down to my favorite 12. im kinda making and finishing things i go and not scrapping as much unless the idea isnt right. i have a double digit number of songs made, most need finishing, need to make some more before it feels complete i guess i dont really care, ive changed where i keep things so i dont think it will happen with newer stuff. as long as people dont beg for random demos to be released lmfao. like let heartbreak in stereo gooo... please... yes! and perhaps one little thing,,, maybe two if i get my shit together fast enough hmmm... attention, dangerous, difficult, sunshine, idk a 5th one. i like those the most. ------- these are from tumblr she did a lil q&a. she might post more after this but im tired of waiting and copy pasting responses but its locked unless you log in which not everyone has so i posted some of the highlights.

Dare I say something controversial but this album reminds me of if we lived in a timeline where Grimes didn't fall down the tacky, tasteless, AI slop "cyborg anime e-girl" elon musk faux intellectual trite dumbass pipeline and actually achieved happiness with a fulfilled life and then put out an album with her level of talent. Like I hadn't listened to Magdalena Bay's work much previously until this album but I've liked everything I've heard so far. It has a really eclectic and well articulated sound, this album is really weaving in and out of the experimental and the catchy / electronic. It feels not afraid to be different and yet not afraid to have fun at the same time which I really, really like.
