Funny/Cringe/No Context Internet Content About Lana
Embach replied to Embach's topic in Lana Thoughts
From Letterboxd, it's so random and I don't even know what was even their point, what were they trying to say with this. Also it's the most popular review with 62 likes đ The review was under a (fan-made? Lana wasn't part of the production, so I assume it's fan-made) Lana documentary "Lana Del Rey: The Greatest Story Never Told". -
Maybe this time the question gets cultured and it's going to be Culture for the Question

I fucking hate that for real, I don't even know if people, who create these videos, lie for attention and likes or they're just actually stupid and believe everything that's out in the internet. I just wish that the newer fans would do some more research as well. I believe in freedom of speech but sometimes posts like these need fact-chekers lmao

Mmm, depends. I obviously loved Country Roads but it didn't really have major impact and I also think that it is for a future project. The thing with droplets is that they just "cause a mess in the rollout". If a song that impactful is a standalone single and not released in an album, can make fans mad. Especially if it it's digitally released it can annoy fans that it's not on a vinyl or something. And if it is in an album, it might interrupt its inital flow. It just interrupts the era's flow as well, when one song not on the album is promoted along with the album. But obviously it's not that serious, it is only my own opinion! Has Lana ever released a stand-alone song that was meant for tour? Say Yes To Heaven was released because of TikTok, she didn't sing that on tour, Doin' Time was part of a soundtrack for Sublime's documentary (I also feel that since it was impactful on radio, label wanted her to release that on NFR as well) and Dark Paradise was released as a single in Central Europe days before Paradise Tour started. Lasso lead single being released in Summer can be more likely imo. And I think there will be impactful upbeat fan favorite tracks. Who ever said that country can't be no bop and fun? 5-7 songs? I don't think that it will satisfy fans enough though I think if she releases an album with ~25 unreleased songs, it would be massive as hell. Especially if it's promoted.

Tbh idk how unpopular it is but I hate standalone singles that doesn't have nothing to do with an album (or a movie or other release). I assume that SYTH might be in the unreleased album, so I can accept that as a single but I hate when some singles are alone. Like they mess the rollout even more imo.

Les Inrockutibles (2017): So you never know the anxiety of the blank sheet? LDR: [...] It's a bit scary, I must have seven hundred drafts of songs on my phone. I know from experience that if I hear a melody in my head, I have to run to my phone to log it, even in the middle of the night. A good melody never knocks twice on your door. If you don't welcome, it will ring another doorbell. For example, during the recording of Honeymoon, I regularly heard a melody in my head, which tortured me and which I could not catch. It sounded like Renaissance music... I had to hum this melody for months to tame it, it became Terrence Loves You (she sings at length)... Also: "On Honeymoon, I changed the composition of four songs, because I found them too high and that would have forced me to put myself too vulnerable. But, as I control my voice, I take it wherever I want, it offers immense freedom"

why bring taylor on the coachella stage and perform sotb if you can bring lizzy grant and perform trash magic -
appreciation post for this song and her delivery in lines "he said 'lana ray, will you serve me lemonade?' and i said 'yes, bill, i will, it's the day of the parade and you look even more handsome than you did the day that i left you." it's just so sultry yet calm at the same time.

No, for me it's commercial radio but the station is like the one that plays old music hits and such.
