Correct me if I am wrong. Your view: Lana will not revisit Malibu and it is scrapped. We know her intention. My view: Lana can revisit Malibu in the form of release or reworking. We don't know her intention. There isn't a world where I believe Lana can not revisit anything she's recorded or as a fan I know what she intends to do with an unreleased recording. Taco Truck x VB already disproves the idea she cannot release scrapped and early versions of songs outright. Okay?

Okay, Lana has expressed that she dislikes leaks several times you cannot dispute that. Even on IGLive when she released Blue Bannisters she said she was annoyed Living Legend leaked. Also again I am not Lana so I can't say what she can and cannot do or what she should or should not do. Unless you are someone close to Lana and I am missing that fact I don't know why you're trying to say Lana can't do something. If she puts her mind to it she can do whatever she wants with her music and it is not the fans' decision. If she wanted to revisit Malibu, leaked or unleaked, who is going to stop her? She says and does a bunch of things... What might be an insignificant concept demo to the FANS might be important to LANA... That's all that's real and what matters! I think I want to close with that!

I'm saying yes to a general approval of your post for the second paragraph. Sorry for the lack of context. To address your questions in a perfect world fans respect Lana's privacy and wait for her to release music when she wants to. I do not think it's abnormal behavior to listen to a song... but to go out of your way to get something you know Lana has no intention to release is abnormal... There's a lot of gray area but just imagine someone is trying to release a voice memo that is on your phone to the public. Creepy!

It is basic music composition. You can reuse melodies, lyrics, instrumentals etc. from a song and rework it into another one. She may want to revisit Malibu later on or release it by itself one day if she wishes. She has done this with other unreleased songs such as Black Beauty, Cherry Blossom, Say Yes To Heaven etc. She can revisit the Methamphetamines song if she wants. Now of course I don't really care too much for whether she will actually release it. It is unlikely. It's the fact she specifically deleted it because of privacy concerns of it being too personal and now fans have it. That should concern a normal person but that is just my opinion.

I am not new to Lana I am an older fan. Songs can be reworked as I discussed previously. Lana reworked Methamphetamines (very old rough demo type song) into Old Money. Even you said yourself Connection turned into a released song. So it is true that something like Malibu and be revisited and released. I believe she even said this an interview. Also you can look back on other users' posts and they've said her privacy is "not that serious". Also I never said anything was wrong or right I simply said it was obsessive and abnormal behavior which is a fact. I will let you and other users do the mental gymnastics on how you can respect her privacy while wishing a lot she intentionally deleted to respect her privacy to leak. It simply does not make any sense. Side note sorry if you guys are trolling and I am falling for the bait too much.

There's context of the fact RIOT and Ice Spice were collaborating before Ice Spice was wildly famous. In a way they're kind of a duo. Ice Spice is staying true to her Bronx self, as I see it. I like seeing Nicki support Ice. Two New York chicks! Just need Lana.

Sorry can someone delete the above post. It is causing an error for me. I'm not tech savvy enough to figure out how to delete it or edit it properly. By the logic it already happened = no need to talk about then I guess it's reasonable to not discuss material that has already been recorded. But of course that doesn't make any sense at all. When Lana's car got broken into and a fan tried to speak to her outside that church the comments on IG made me think a majority of fans respect her privacy maybe that was just me being naive.
-
If fans have it and are already talking about the quality of the song it will eventually leak... I never had an issue talking about unreleased music. I just think it's sad for Lana people are hearing this song she has no intention for them to hear she went as far to delete it. That's all. I don't know why many users are being negative surrounding Lana's privacy.

Thanks for the summary. Yeah, if he said that that sounds pretty terrible.

Lana has expressed she didn't want Malibu to leak online or anyone to hear it so that's why she deleted it. So I think it specifically fits into audio she specifically doesn't want released. But there should be an expectation of privacy for anything she records in my opinion. Maybe some other users feel different. I just feel especially bad considering what happened in Brazil recently... I am not sure if I am missing something but I think it's weird for a person to seek out this song when we already know Lana deleted it for a reason. I feel like I am repeating myself but perhaps I am missing something.

Would you find it invasive and strange if someone went out of their way to steal something from you like a voice recording or phone call recording that you specifically didn't want released? I doubt anyone would just be like "Oh okay, that's completely normal behavior." Malibu could be meant or reworked for an upcoming project. I don't agree with posting anything that could be for an upcoming project. Sorry, I just think it's weird.

We really don't need Malibu... Lana specifically said she wanted it deleted for a reason. It's a shame she has so many obsessive and mentally disturbed fans who went out of their way to get their hands on it. Didn't we run into this issue with a Lizzy Grant song? I don't remember the title but I remember seeing it on IG stories.

I haven't been keeping up with Kesha's feud with Dr. Luke but that statement as another user said is a terrible look for her. Did she ever provide proof he abused her? I remember seeing an interview video of her specifically saying they never had sex. I can see how some users and people see something is fishy without the context of complex legal and social aspects.
