  1. I'm convinced there would be an argument over if Lana recorded something and the title had a capital letter or not.
  2. Why do you think it was trash? We had the IG account, a tour and some of her best songs. Also she was a lot more interactive with fans during this time.
  3. I like to be open minded. They come off a little extreme but that's a lot of members. Anyway, I think debate is healthy because of the nuance. It's mostly just speculation and relying on second hand information from Lana or fans.
  4. Okay. Your new nickname is Eddy. From Ed, Ed and Eddy. You remind me a lot of him. Enjoy the rest of your evening Eddy.
  5. Nice post. Not really too invested in the topic but the producer comments are interesting.
  6. Don't who know she or he. If you want to be negative speak clearly. Hugs and kisses.
  7. Are any of you guys hiring in NYC for IT? I would love to show up 30 minutes late to work. .. On a serious note I wish fans as much sympathy for her with the Question For The Culture and no mask controversies.
  8. Thank you for the compliment. Either way, if you pay to see someone at a certain time that person should make every effort to be there on time. Period.
  9. So you think it's okay if you pay to schedule a doctor's appointment and the doctor shows up 30 minutes late and his only excuse is he has to do his hair? People can just ignore obligations? Sorry but you sound very blinded by the fact it's Lana.
  10. Fans were like this in other years, it's just that Tik Tok culture wasn't prominent. Same behavior different platform. Also the comment is weird.
  11. She has had a recent theme of lateness and specifically said it was because of her hair and not because of technical issues. If I paid money to see someone and they say they're late because they didn't take the time to get ready I would be upset.
  12. As I am reading, it could be Dan Heath who really inspired her to continue to record music after Born To Die and explore that "60's" sound. I am reading they made Life Is Beautiful in July 2012 which fits that theme and seems to be the first song from 2012 recorded that fans know of. The song itself is like a return to music. Whatever scrapped Paradise project she made I theorize was produced mostly by him. I like to think there's a Hollywood Dan Heath version which she was talking about. He still has credits for the "Chemtrails" album! And apparently produced You And Me which is a dreamy track!
  13. I am certain Rick Nowels did Starry Eyed. It's true they did Wait For Life but maybe Emile didn't find that sound until years later. Also, I mean, when Lana was done making Born To Die she recorded Making Out which is definitely a pop song. So I think she is just lying or exaggerating about this whole classical album thing that she apparently mentioned in the interviews. Probably some other stuff going on fans don't know about that she didn't disclose.
  14. I remember this list from The Guardian and that picture of her with the flowers... she was still blonde. It's interesting she ended up revisiting Driving In Cars With Boys in 2014 out of this list. Maybe there are others. Perhaps it suggests she was mostly unsatisfied with the way this album turned out and didn't find out how to go about the songs until she met producers after Born To Die. I wouldn't even say any of these songs are specifically outtakes they are just ones that didn't make this kind of random list that is the Born To Die tracklist.
  15. What a great and accurate comment. Diet Mtn Dew was her oldest song I believe from the date she made to having officially released it. I think that's also why she expressed the idea she was done with music and had no intention to release another album. It wasn't until Honeymoon she wasn't recycling old tracks and being content with releasing demos or old songs.
  16. Can I get a link to that interview. Thanks.
  17. She said Hollywood leaked with the wrong production. So I'm curious if that's the case for other songs from around that time. I mean What A Girl To Do has that Rick James sample so I doubt it fits in with these other dreamy songs.
  18. Have any of the fans mentioned an album between the two? The amount of speculation regarding this "Tropico" album makes me surprised more haven't leaked. Perhaps since they were so close it was hard for fans to get their hands on the songs. I always imagined them opening a duo group... But then news of the split broke.
  19. Fans went crazy when Summer Wine got released I remember. It was clear Barrie was a great source of inspiration for her, a muse of sorts. Crazy to think they probably have so many other unreleased tracks we will never hear.
  20. Covid lockdowns convinced people they were health experts. For many years fans defended Lana's unhealthy habits (Smoking, lashing out at the media etc.) but the moment she didn't wear a mask it was an issue. It's a fact second hand smoking (something Lana has done quite often) is very dangerous, yet there was never a conversation about that.
  21. Wow never heard this. Thanks for posting. I have to revisit Chet Baker.
  22. Fat acceptance has become a very amplified and popular topic since 2017, so it is not too surprising seeing members be happy she lost some weight. I will say I think it is ironic that Lana, who has had numerous surgery operations, is often so criticized for her physical appearance. Anyone saying she needs to lose or gain weight probably ignores all her other negative health habits like vaping and smoking. She is a gorgeous woman even before the surgery or if she is not thin. But naturally people will comment on whatever. Like Britney said in Pieces Of Me, "I'm miss too big now she's too thin."
  23. Prisoner was in my opinion Lana really exploring that sound we hear today in her unreleased music in tracks such as Serene Queen. I remember hearing that and remembering there quite wasn't a Lana song like that before. I can't help but to think that's an older track they happened to rework from like 2012. I think The Weekend had a cool part but I think it would've been better as a Lana solo. Lana eats him like a carrot on that track. Her opening line is the song.
  24. Who do you guys think was Lana's strongest feature? In my opinion, hands down it is Nightmare Boy on Riverside. It is a true justice this unreleased track was properly released. Ugh. It is a true duet and his part seriously makes the song just epic. The vocals are so raw and the storyline is truly enticing. I heard Unidentified Flying Bill as well. His feature there is excellent. The unreleased A$AP Rocky feature is an interesting... uhm... project. After the producers of Ridin' posted the track online (it's been years... I think that was the story), I can see why they decided to shelve it for future releases. I will say Groupie Love has a special place in my heart. But ultimately I think he fails as a lyricist. I didn't think it was worth a topic, but I am always puzzled as to why Lana let that Stevie Nicks singer on her track Beautiful People, Beautiful Problems. In my opinion, that's her worst featuring artist. I actually listen to a cool solo edit. The solo edit is my top 10 Lana songs. Also please no negative comments. If you do not care I am not sure what to reply. This is a discussion for open minded people. Thank you in advance. .
