This is so difficult! Best: 1. Blue Jeans 2. Yayo 3. Serial Killer 4. Summertime Sadness 5. Swan Song (Honorable mentions: Mermaid Motel, Cola, Ultraviolence, Every Man Gets His Wish, Salvatore, Off to the Races, The Blackest Day) (Honestly you can organize these however you want to and I'd probably be okay with it...) Worst: 1. Video Games- I hate this song. It's the one Lana song I hate. 2. Guns and Roses/ I Can Fly/ Burning Desire- They all sound like the Key of Awesome parody of her work, Tired and Horny. Yaaawwwwn. 3. Brite Lights- as a guitarist, this song is an insult. 4. Lucky Ones- studio version is the worst. I hate "Could it be/You and me". It turns me into a grammar nazi so hard. 5. Blue Velvet- her voice is grating here, I'm sorry. What is that pitchless *unnnghh* she starts the song with? Bobby Vinton ftw. Dishonorable mentions: Heavy Hitter, Flipside, Cruel World, Florida Kilos. I don't DISLIKE them, but something about them bugs me a lot.

I still can't decide! I've been trying to make up my mind for so long but... They're both so different. It's hard to tell which I like more. On a song-by-song basis, I think Honeymoon wins. So that's how I'm voting. They're both almost equally powerful, though, imo...

These results are really interesting to me. Random thoughts: I love Is This Happiness? but I always feel like she's going to rhyme heart with fart instead of far... Eek. Adore the guitar on Florida Kilos, and the lyrics are great, but I kinda hate her singing on it for some reason that I can't pin down. I would say it's because she sounds pouty and whiny, but I like that on some of her other songs. I never knew people liked Brooklyn Baby so much! I dunno, it feels contrived to me. It borders on satire. Maybe I'm too cynical? I used to love Lana's version of Sad Girl, but now I've heard my own cover too much and I'm sick of it... Flipside and Guns and Roses are forgettable. That is a CRIME when it comes to Lana Del Rey. Being goth, I feel like I should love Black Beauty, but something about it is also kind of annoying to me. And I AM a girl with black nails 100% of the time. So shit. It also makes me think of that damn book about the horse. Maybe I should give it another try.
