Assuming she’s not running late and/or has curfew issues, this is the full playlist. She seems to be playing 18-20 songs with most of the non-festival shows. Don’t expect any major changes, but there could be one or two small changes.
-
You’re going to need to get to the venue first thing in the morning, assuming they allow lines to form. Sometimes people are camping out starting the day before. And then be ready for a mad dash from the gate once they start letting people in. If a venue has a fast pass (or equivalent), you’re also going to want to get that.

Columbia, MD @ All Things Go Music Festival - October 1st, 2023

The fact that a lot of her stuff still goes way over my head makes me wonder if I’m even half as big of a fan as I thought I was -

I don’t mind it. Part of the skit is a little silly when the agent comes out. I don’t think it’s a strong closing song -

She’s short on time too. Probably tailored her list a bit more for the festival vibe. -

And then people wonder why she doesn’t play more tracks off Ocean Blvd -

I don’t care for Stand by Your Man at all, but I don’t mind it. DMD is one of my jams, but the live performance on this leg has definitely been underwhelming. I wonder if it’s just a lazy interpretation because they’re relying more on the visuals with that performance. I appreciate the screen films, light show and theatrics, but sometimes less is more. If I had to pick between the audio and visual aspects, I want a more inspired vocal performance. I get that some people say her early shows were too “boring,” but I’d rather have more “boring” visuals if the track is nailed from a musical standpoint. You can still do both. Maybe she’s just played it too much and feels like she has to. Who knows.

Is it weird that I refuse to listen to that song? I always had an iffy view on TS and I was really intrigued when all the hype and promotion got going about the initial “collaboration.” Then, when I heard the song, I was so infuriated that I pretty much stopped listening to TS entirely. Not that I listened to her much in the first place. It seemed like a big publicity stunt or something, gone terribly wrong against Lana. When word of a “better” version came out, part of me was happy for Lana. Most of me was like, so she got screwed over, fake hype went on for the longest time and after fan uproar, now she’s getting the collaborative song that we were all promised in the first place? Too little, too late. It rubbed me the wrong way and nothing against TS as an artist, I’m not denying the talent, the whole thing just seemed like BS. Like who got more attention in the end? A pop star who doesn’t need it. If you’re going to draw up that much hype for something, you better deliver. I now wonder if maybe the whole ordeal was one of the factors that dragged a bunch of TikTok teen swifties “into” the LDR scene?

Wow, in Hope, I thought she opened with I was running some errands I wasn’t even close

Okay, so something has been on my mind for a while. All of the criticism of the setlist(s) had led me to this. I’m going to attempt to analyze her setlist. Although it has evolved slightly, the general 18-20 song setlist has remain largely unchanged over the last few weeks. I’m not here to declare that the setlist is perfect. In fact, the whole reason why I was inspired to write this is that so many people dislike the setlist that she’s had over the past couple of months. No one can get into Lana’s head, like, for example, how personally confident she and her band may feel about certain songs and arrangements. My goal here is to give a subjective analysis of why certain songs have been chosen and how their order in the setlist may have significance. I will be using the 20-song setlist from her recent show in Mississippi as a baseline, since it covers the majority of the songs she’s played on this leg. I will not be focused on songs she played as one offs, such as Florida Kilos and a few of the songs in Mexico, as they were unique as outliers. Full disclosure: She skips songs I would have loved her to play and I do think one of the glaring missing tracks is Candy Necklaces, but I’m not here to dissect what she missed, instead, to analyze what she’s given us. Feel free to disagree, but here it goes:

Banned for a having a signature without Lana in it

I always feel like her performance of Ultraviolence at Glastonbury in 2014 was very emotional and inspiring. It’s one of her rare concerts that you can find HQ videos of most of it. I love that dress too. It may not be her best concert, from a vocal and theatrical standpoint, but I adore it. The electric guitar work really adds to the vibe.

She just posted a video with the mayor of Brandon, MS. He took her on a backwoods drive, gave her a souvenir and she also posted a Mississippi sunrise and a few other things from the concert

Charlotte, NC @ PNC Music Pavilion - 29th Sept 2023

Amazing vocals. Loved the hair. Seemed like a little bit of a shorter show. No Summertime and it sounds like she didn’t go down to the barricade. The crowd was decent, but I found it really disrespectful they kept screaming in quiet parts of songs. Please let her sing and don’t ruin the moment 🤍 -

My theory is that she feels comfortable where it is. The band does too. Only a few shows left, it would be silly for her now to start going rogue and throw off the consistency. -

We are in such a similar situation!! I saw her for the first time in August and it was life changing. I feel spoiled that I got to see her two more times, but I couldn’t bring myself to buy pit tickets yesterday. It didn’t feel right. I’m already going broke from all these shows and I didn’t feel like I was part of the Stan crowd. Idk I’d love, literally die to be at the barricade, but all these people who go to her every show, have endless time and money. I just can’t. Plus I’m short and I’m not great with crowds. Maybe one day for the experience I will do pit, but I already have no business complaining. I saw her three times this year and that’s more than probably 90% of her fans. I don’t want to become an entitled snobby Stan. But I totally feel you. I was slipping into a very dark place this summer, but seeing her and being able to share my obsession with all of you has really helped uplift me from the shadows. It went from the blackest day and summertime sadness to something I can’t even begin to explain with words. You are going to have the time of your life!

It wasn’t empty after all -
Maybe after the writer’s strike is over, since Covid is essentially over, she’d be willing to do a few one off TV appearances to promote Ocean Blvd? I miss her occasional TV spots, even if they were only a song or two.

This seems very possible. She has roots in Upstate New York, which borders Vermont. She has to know people from there. Maybe old friends. That would make the most sense, otherwise it’s a very random state to single out haha
