I wasn't a fan when this masterpiece was released and to be honest it was one of the Lana albums I didn't immediately gravitate towards when I did become a fan, even if hearing the tempo change in West Coast was a seminal moment in my life. But although it may have taken some time I came to understand and feel the magnificence of Ultraviolence and there was no looking back after that, once you get it, you're changed for life. The sheer power of the universe this album creates is unmatched and these songs put me in a headspace like no other.. she really did that
