wtf the first one doesn't even have vocals the second one doesn't sound like her at all third is...passable?
  2. Do you mean TWO News vs. Discussion it's not hard We aren't talking about Edward Gallegos' ass or Emile Haynie debates here, we're talking about the release date news Like would you want single news/tracklist lost in the discussion thread? Same diff
  3. How are you connecting BCD and Ultraviolence. So dark it's almost unlistenable???

    Lorde

Truly I need to frame this shit, my GOD But bye Lorde music in 2014? Thanks for hyping me for nothing twitter
  7. So dark it's almost unlistenable: Noir and Little Carmen Mix that with its supposed beauty and I think we shouldn't expect Noir's screams but still some of the same daring approach, except in a studio setting with Emile's lushness. All I truly need from this description are layered harmonies. I can't imagine it not being about her past again. Exploring the darker moments she's only touched on in her Lizzy Grant days, I hope.

Taking You There is understated and beautiful and Weak Spot is like 90s whisper R&B sung by a killer child, how can you get better? Not me being the only one to buy their EP...$4 you guys.

Same case with "Weak Spot" again... So you like good artists but just don't recognize their best songs
  11. lmao But this reinforces Catch and Release as a good sound indicator Super dark and weird, with the line "the only way that you know how to love is fight." Except I'm sure it'll all be one million times more melancholy--that song still retains a weird positivity. The last chorus of Mermaid Motel and Motel 6 need to be channelled...I think those are the best examples of her going weird with melody and harmony in studio. And throw in Black Beauty with a good bridge. No more.
  12. The unconfirmed stuff is beginning to flow in Tremors by SOHN on April 7th! Ultraviolence on May 1st
  13. I did! What are all you SoCal folks doing going all the way to SF? It only takes two hours to Nevada Anyway. What a fucking emotional buoy this was. I NEVER GET GOOD TICKETS. I've been giddy all day. Just remember to set aside like thirty minutes and keep trying. I got mine after all those attempts, GA too.

A promo opportunity http://m-o-slash.tumblr.com/tagged/reviews I'm mostly interested in how that track flows from Never Wanna Know to Pilgrim, since she's described the album as a story from beginning to end, and that's also a transition from ballad to upbeat...What transitions we already know slay me so much, like beginning with Fire Rides and ending with Glass, and then Fire Rides-Maiden-NWK, as well as Pilgrim-DWD-WOT-DIG-XXX 88. I really value track flow tbh. Anyway, I hope that's the next preview we'll get!

Tea: apparently Dummy Head is the song that she discussed the lyric "bikini daze" coming from! Early reviews have praised Walk This Way and Slow Love, though. Yeah it's all gonna kill tbh

LOL I didn't want to make the thread because I didn't want to be the guy who makes all the music threads for hip new bands...But I love their EP! My favorite is "Taking You There" for sure
  17. Ultraviolence made her forget Born to Die and Video Games made her forget six years and hundreds of songs she'd written before it
  18. afaik ticketmaster and livenation are linked, which is why I think the earlybird presale might work on ticketmaster links as well
  19. Truly the worst I am NOT here for stubhub prices...
  20. Sitar

Check it I was right http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FuFeCPWMZw The intro hypothetically opens the album so well Like, I know it will...and then going right into Maiden shiiiiiit. I'm half worried that these are already the two best songs on the album but then that's not such a terrible worry because they're so good... I'm very hyped for No Mythologies to Follow and The Sea based on live vids though.
  21. Sitar

It's almost definitely just tour visuals/home vid for these previews and not a full video--she has those for a lot of songs in her live set. Esp considering it's the same lips from the WOT home video Example of tour visuals/non video stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyHoyEzzHn0
  22. Sitar

She's posted pictures of Obama and Madonna blowing bubblegum...and then there's this picture: I'm calling album art
  23. I need advice I'm probably going to add another volume to my fanmade albums for the sake of shortening volumes 2 and 4. It would be hip-hop themed. Including actual hip-hop (Summer of Sam/Ridin') and hip-hop inspired tracks (Dum Dum/Match Made in Heaven) Here it is so far. Does anything here not belong? Am I missing something? Obv not putting released tracks or demos. 1. Beautiful Player 2. Hundred Dollar Bill 3. Match Made in Heaven 4. Ridin' (feat. A$AP Rocky) 5. Delicious 6. Summer of Sam 7. You Can Be the Boss 8. Gangsta Boy 9. Spender (feat. Smiler) 10. Ghetto Baby 11. Dum Dum feedback please
