  1. 1. Hiya, honey, what you doing? 2. Do you wanna jump? 3. Is it wrong, making out with you while you're singing your song? 4. Do you really think I'll buy your bullshit, boy? 5. You're screwed up and brilliant, look like a million dollar man, so why is my heart broke? 6. Oh say can you see my stars? 7. Lana Del Rey, how you get that way? 8. He likes me mean, right? 9. What do you need to get high for? 10. Do you know that I am going to leave you? - fade to black - Actually: 1. In recent interviews, you seem to be quite disillusioned with America. What brought about this attitude? The negative critical reaction? What about your fans there? 2. What inspired your most recent album, Paradise? Do you feel you're still 'honoring love, even once it's lost' [or whatev the quote is], or are you looking to the future with your current boyfriend? 3. What is it about the song "Yayo" that still resonates with you after all these years, and do you feel that connection to any of your other older material? 4. Speaking of your older material, what is your opinion on so many of your unfinished songs leaking onto the internet? A lot of fans attach themselves to that stuff quite a bit--would you take it all back if you could? 5. In a short amount of time, you have become one of the most polarizing pop stars working today, but it doesn't seem like that was your original intention with your music. What's your response to your controversial status? 6. How do you feel about fame? Do you find it hard to let the positives outweigh the negatives? 7. What projects do you have upcoming? Another album, another direction? More soundtracks? Will you please do a covers album? 8. Before your album premiered, you posted the song "Bel Air" on YouTube with some information about an upcoming film, Tropico. Can you tell us some of the details on that? 9. Was your past as tumultuous as your music suggests? Then some grand, thoughtful final question like "wut duzz lov mean?!" to end it on a good note.

  3. What is this 4 month old post resurrection...
  4. DARLING I will be spamming this gif so buckle up.
  5. Okay so the lyric booklet was written when this version was going to make the album because it has all the alternate lyrics and it says "To all the little queens", which sort of makes sense, but that fucking lyric booklet has some major mistakes. For example, "Stealing police guys with the senior guys", which doesn't even make any sense. But I hear a hard sound and it just kinda sounds like "darling". Keep in mind "to all the", though, I guess.
  6. Darling little queens I'll tell you every day till you get it, girl Superior version, by the by.
  7. Yeee I formatted it so there's one thread per song, with alternate lyrics in each thread. So, like, one thread for both versions of DICWB, etc. The original ("it's the day of the parade" and such) is just one song. Lots of people think she just took the verses of some other song for the "man I love" demo and mashed it up. Not confirmed, though.
  8. Would you fuck with her? Because I fucking wouldn't.

    Song vs. Song

:OMFG: :OMFG: :OMFG: Without You WY vs. Smarty
  11. LOVE edna's theory, I always just thought it was about gogo dancing I think this would make an interesting thread of its own, interpretations are always interesting for me to read. Kill Kill - Being in love with a dying man? I suppose I've never looked at it beyond that. QOTGS - Mostly her love of kitschy, trashy small-town America--I certainly think she did some traveling. This is a hint at all the open road, kindness of strangers business she went on about in the Ride monologue. OSCYS - Just a sort of offbeat love song that's as much about the city as it is about her and this guy. Gramma - Craving fame, craving one man to love who does it right for her. All the time heeding her grandma's words and advice. For K Part 2 - I think this is about meeting a guy at a show. It's certainly a flirtatious sort of new love, mutual fascination. Since it was originally titled "Rehab", I often think it was about the supposed "local rockstar" she met there. Then again, K is in the title. So the subject is a little ambiguous. Jump - Doing drugs. Doing drugs with a dude. Mermaid Motel - I don't think I ever caught this before doing this, but it's message is pretty much the same as OSCYS. Maybe with some gogo dancing elements. Raise Me Up - Someone help me here Pawn Shop Blues - She gave up a lot for a guy, it seems, only to have the rug pulled out from under her and find herself alone and contemplating her existence as she barely scrapes by. I could go into psychobabble Maslow's hierarchy of needs shit, but I won't. Basically, she wants love, but she needs to live. Brite Lites - Any of the above interpretations sound great to me. Put Me in a Movie - Making a sextape with an older man, basically I mean, what else? Smarty - Exciting love with a rockstar. Yayo - An obsessive love for a man who is addicted to cocaine. An obsessive love for cocaine? A sort of twisted engagement song, since it's about drugs but also eloping to Las Vegas. Getting carried away That's a really brief interpretation, but yeah...
  12. Well there are the surface reasons like her visuals and style, her voice, her sweet personality, her technical ability with creating good music. But why am I so deeply enamored? It's her mystery, guys. This woman is so fascinating in the most unintentional of ways.
  13. Wondering what the quality would be like.
  14. Disgustingly jealous of this.
  15. I'm currently of the opinion that there was a lot of contradiction and stuff in their relationship because nothing else makes sense. Afraid is the only thing that really suggests she left him, but it's a ridiculously telling song and hard to ignore. Ugh. Beginning to think that weird gameboy account that posted here a few pages back was actually legit and totally correct about the circumstances of their breakup.
  16. Bless my ma, she ordered a Paradise CD rather than the vinyl. Didn't intend to get into CD collecting, but now I'm mad tempted. Stimulating her US sales anyhow, since I got the Paradise box-set from England.
  17. You can take to the request thread under the audio section and ask for someone to PM you the whole lot, or have a search around google for a download. It's not uncommon, so there's no real exchanging going on.
  18. I merged this with another topic we have on this subject. I'm hoping she follows through with releasing Gods & Monsters and Bel Air as one huge crazy awesome video. With G&M as a single and Bel Air as a B-side. I wish she'd put Burning Desire as the B-side to Cola because I want some sort of physical release of the song and both are sexy. American could absolutely be a single, probably with a video with some loaded concept like National Anthem. If we don't get more official singles, I hope we at least get videos. Same difference to me. Although I'd absolutely blow all my savings on Cola singles and merchandise.
  19. I highly recommend you listen to AKA straight through, it's really great.

    No American Tour?

WHAT. "Here, I jerked it to this, hope you enjoy!" Gathering porn should be a solo quest I have lots of midget links for you, though.
  21. Lana Del Rey changed my ~artistic perspective~ so much--whereas I would cringe at the tacky and trashy before, I have really weird appreciation for it now. Hell, I emulate it now more than I ever did. I smile at trailer parks and American flags. The same applies to her videos. Essentially, she is lip-syncing to her web-cam, like many 13-year-olds on YouTube. And yet I see these videos and get so mesmerized and drooly over her creative process and visual art and passion for creation. The cool thing is that I don't think you can even consider it a bias based on my love of her music--she just actually does homemade lip-syncing videos in an interesting way.
