You think DYNAMITE is a keeper, but not those? Boarding School is groovy and telling and no one but Lana could sing it. Hit & Run is essential pop Lana, like top 5 pop tracks from her. Making Out can choke. Pin Up Galore...do not get me started on dark Lizzy ditties, because I will snap some opposing necks. Us Against the World can choke.

Which song by Lana Del Rey best describes you?
Sitar replied to shelaughslikegod's topic in Lana Thoughts
The pathetic, yearning ones like Burning Desire, Jealous Girl, or Elvis I totally get the imagery in Queen of the Gas Station, but not really the "bad bitch on the open road" bits. In my more angsty times I'd say Junky Pride or I Don't Wanna Go. She's Not Me because I like str8s Fuck it, I'll just go with Summertime Sadness I don't relate very much to Lana at all :ohreally: -
Brite Lites because Lana dancing to that song is an exact mirror of me dancing to that song. Methamphetamines because of the song/its haunting quality Kill Kill and Mermaid Motel for being two really cool looks and masterfully edited On Our Way for being cute.

I get it but gawd does she sound pretentious here. And dear Chris C's "cultural compost" shit. And a hermaphrodite comment, like are her FB friends in sixth grade? Well anyway, I don't think she genuinely hated her, I think she was just jealous because they were in similar situations, time periods, management, floppy Diet Mtn Dew Records...and Gaga got the breakthrough first. Have to wonder if Gagz even knows who Lana is

I liked "The A Team" but he just seems kinda male TSwift to me.

Lana Del Rey has gone to prison. -
Listening finally. "Highly Strung" reminds me of the background music on this racecar video game I had on Nintendo 360. "Voodoo Child" reminds me of my mom Interesting to watch that come out of that little blonde. The Avril Lavigne comparison on "According to You" is very apt The Fire tracks are impressive but still remind me of my mom. Maybe I'll introduce her to this

I feel as if I shouldn't like this as much as I do. That style of video always seems seconds away from some srs heroin injection.

67. Theoretically, we could return to the basics.

Thank you I need a non-radio rip of You bad. Whatever happened to the good old days of an official release?

From what I can tell, you're missing Lost in Space, How Can I, End of the World, I Like You, Do It Well, and I'll Never Know (Alternate Version). Anyone have Wires in not terrible quality?

LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships
Sitar replied to Sitar's topic in Lana Thoughts
Spoiler is [spoiler ] ... [ /spoiler], without spaces. I like your theories! I've been thinking about Kill Kill a lot recently and it definitely seems like it's about that interim between his imprisonment and his death, where he's in jail but not dead quite yet. OSCYS is very vague, but I like what you said about celestial bodies...I'll be listening for that now. Ray is so confusing, really...there was some post on Facebook about her pretending to be her sister while Ray was talking to her, or...I don't know. Maybe it's some kind of code. I'm definitely adding these new Brite Lites interpretations, they're all very good. I used to think PMIAM was about Mike because it seemed so perfect, but the fact is it was first written around 2007--far earlier than I believe they knew each other. But speaking of Mike, I've been thinking that "Without You" is definitely about him. The bridge relates to both "Afraid" and "American Dream", and it seems to fit her state of mind post-Noir. She doesn't want fame if it means losing him, basically.
