Yes, abandon ha!

It is not about suicide, boo The melody lends really well to some upbeat vocals. It's in the melody, all the way. I couldn't give a shit if she says the word "heroin". It's comparable to her whispering...any other song that's written in a genuine upbeat style. I don't know if it has anything to do with major keys but I probably should so I can explain this better. And your "jumps from speaker to speaker" argument will nevarrr convince me!

Lemme finally lend to the complaints: I thought I'd get it faster by going through a middleman (Harlem) in the UK, but no dice

Oddly it's rumored that Lady Gaga and Prince are also writing songs for it, so I guess Lana's not doing the whole thing. But a few songs, I mean...that's the soundtrack she was made to be featured on!

Nope, that's the only answer. I haven't the slightest clue. Minus 1 for me. How old is "Yayo"?

Soviet Kitsch is so great. Thanks, Madrigal, new "loop" album for me.

I fully intend to discuss her in here, too When I heard "Diamond Sea", I just had to know what the original song was because it was so beautiful. And it's TOTALLY different. Also Karen's solo "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys" blows me away.

Oldest Lana/Lizzy song (Not including SIRENS)
Sitar replied to cartoon eyes's topic in Lana Thoughts
How about 1949 or You're Gonna Love Me, which both have similar quality to Elvis and ARH? I feel almost certain that those were identified to be from 2008 from the source of the leaks--that is, calendargirl. Those songs also ended up on her MySpace, what, around 2009? That seems odd. I'll also say that her singing style is very different from Sirens to those two songs, and if we are to believe anything she's saying, she lowered her voice as the years went on. Sirens is very white-bread in its vocals, whereas she rocks the fake country accent in Elvis and a deep voice in ARH. -

Make a Santigold thread tbh Yeah, I wouldn't even need their "reinvent every album" thing if they kept delivering that quality/style of stuff. Oh jeez I thought it was a picture taken underwater for the longest time, which really fit with "10x10" for me, but one day I squinted and OH--there's a face (Incidentally, "10x10" was the first time I ever tried interpreting a song with a really convoluted theory and probably ulimately responsible for Lanalysis.)
