Soviet Kitsch is so great. Thanks, Madrigal, new "loop" album for me.

I fully intend to discuss her in here, too When I heard "Diamond Sea", I just had to know what the original song was because it was so beautiful. And it's TOTALLY different. Also Karen's solo "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys" blows me away.

Oldest Lana/Lizzy song (Not including SIRENS)
Sitar replied to cartoon eyes's topic in Lana Thoughts
How about 1949 or You're Gonna Love Me, which both have similar quality to Elvis and ARH? I feel almost certain that those were identified to be from 2008 from the source of the leaks--that is, calendargirl. Those songs also ended up on her MySpace, what, around 2009? That seems odd. I'll also say that her singing style is very different from Sirens to those two songs, and if we are to believe anything she's saying, she lowered her voice as the years went on. Sirens is very white-bread in its vocals, whereas she rocks the fake country accent in Elvis and a deep voice in ARH. -

Make a Santigold thread tbh Yeah, I wouldn't even need their "reinvent every album" thing if they kept delivering that quality/style of stuff. Oh jeez I thought it was a picture taken underwater for the longest time, which really fit with "10x10" for me, but one day I squinted and OH--there's a face (Incidentally, "10x10" was the first time I ever tried interpreting a song with a really convoluted theory and probably ulimately responsible for Lanalysis.)

Careful, Madrigal loves him some It's Blitz I like the album, but I'll always be floored by the other stuff to a larger extent. The songs I return to most on IB aren't any of the ballads, sure enough. "Dull Life" and "Dragon Queen" are great songs no matter what they do. I'm at least confident you can't say that they sold out for pop appeal, because it was just yet another direction for one of their albums. My optimism for the fourth album hasn't budged a bit ^_^ And nooow fall in love with Fever to Tell I like to hear "favorite band" statements, they feel like personal compliments because I'm so crazy about them. ALL THAT BEING SAID: Is Is is my favorite "10x10" is such a jam.

Welcome to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs thread This is my favorite band, an indie trio from New York featuring the eternal Karen O on vocals, Nick Zinner on the guitar, and Brian Chase on drums. They've released three albums, each with a distinct direction varying from garage rock to electronic, and are due for a fourth in 2013. Their hits: Some gems: Where my fans at?

Lindsay's voice in the previews makes me cringe, but I'll be perched in front of the TV just like everyone else.

Axl Rose Husband and Elvis are way advanced compared to Sirens, so I don't think it's likely that they were recorded before that album. -
Anyone remember it leaking as "Lizzy Grant"?

How about the interview, though? She implied she was writing music for The Great Gatsby!
