You have got to be kidding. :airplease: I bought it just yesterday or God knows when. I paid money. Money I could have spent otherwise but no... I thought: 'Just support her... that poor 17-year old.' Christmas, my ass.
  2. I have decided that my final term paper in film analysis shall be about TROPICO. I don't know which aspect specifically I am going to write about, but I feel freer writing about something I am already familiar with.

    Like this one?
  4. This server is so underrated, really. Poor thing. Deserves a Grammy.

I just realised a few things about the The Love Club cover: the "outfit" is one fusion of animals in itself the "boa" is actually a snake the "pig" is presumably a rat she's easily wearing 800g of jewellery
  6. You are twisting my words here and draw incongruous conclusions from what I wrote. If you want to judge her music as bad, like you implicate with this Mick Jagger analogy, you are free to do that, but I couldn't but disagree.

This image has been tweeted by @LordeNews, at least that's what I found out. I am hoping for a physical release of this extended edition of Pure Heroine. I have been craving a physical print including "Swingin Party."
  8. Thank you. And I would like to add that for a 17-year old, she seems a lot more mature than those constantly going on about how much she will never be somewhat significant. Also, given that she recorded The Love Club at age 15, that makes me ask myself: 'What the fuck did I do at age 15?' I'm not saying she's accomplished more than some people ever will in their life, but at least she is doing something with it other than ranting for hours and hours on the internet. I suppose this is normal, though, when one [Lorde] is outspoken and eloquent. At age 17. While it's being discussed: I find her to be very beautiful, actually. I don't know what kind of fucked up beauty ideals some of you grew up with, but saying that she is ugly would aesthetically be an insult to 98% of humanity.
  9. The European release date for Night Time, My Time seems to have no officially been set for January 28. I made a post about the UK and German division of Amazon listing the album for said date, but in Germany, a price has now been set and it's available for preorder. So far, it's still listed as an import, but we'll see about that... The LP is, by the way, supposed to be released on January 7.
  10. Imagine a Gaga/Lana match cut while a cosmically distorted "So Legit" echoes through the spheres from earth...
  11. I will never understand how Lorde is even remotely similar to Lana, but I am all for eloquent explanations.
  12. Don't we all look sick on a Photobooth snapshot with bad lighting? Not so fond of the dark hair...
  13. Yeah, it would be interesting to hear about the process and specifics such as when it was written, where it was recorded, etc. But let's be honest: I think none of the songwriters and producers approached by a fan ever fully bought those lines of showing interest into their work. But I guess that's what you have to prepare for when climbing on those branches of the music tree.
  14. I am just assuming that he is (so) legit for a second. If the song is indeed intended for Ultraviolent as his message basically states, he must have signed a few things, or must have been informed about how to behave. Just look at what this message caused. We as a forum have been discussing this for multiple pages already and let's not even be so delusional to think that a very certain party of the record label pays attention to things like this. In no time at all, information will spread and it's going to be everywhere. We all know how thirsty we are for album details. I am not saying that the sudden confirmation of a song title will cause Universal to upset plans, but it will certainly make them doubt about their creative "staff." Of course there is talk, and there is a whole lot of talk between publishers and labels... if you think longterm: unless his work is so incredibly outstanding and marketable... who would want to hire him after this? Welcome to the music industry, I say.
  15. That might explain the ASCAP entry, yes. But I am just totally confused as to why a young songwriter with the immense opportunity of writing with/for a major act (which Lana is for Universal Music at the moment) would risk everything (I highly doubt UMG is particularly fond of song titles being announced...) because of indiscretion. I mean, he basically contacts a random fan on YouTube (not saying that you're random, really) and wants his writing contributions added. All right, a bit vain, but I'm going to let this one slide. However, randomly dropping information about a major release - now that's just... Sorry, but get a sense of professionalism.
  16. I am majorly disbelieving due to his name's omission in the ASCAP entry. Why would they do that? And even more importantly: regardless of the age and obvious lack of discretion, how the hell come he shares exclusive information on a UMG project by approaching you out of the blue? I highly doubt he would be this loose with such information if he was seriously involved with them. Or at all.
  17. Yeah, I have been wondering the same! It doesn't quite add up eventually...
  18. Had you only credited him in the description... Don't fuck with the UMG peeps!
  19. If this is true... he's a fucking idiot. Like, this is an unreleased song that emerged somehow on the internet, and little to nothing is known about it. He's acting like his name wasn't included in liner notes of an official release. I understand his need to have his work credited, but messaging random YouTube users seems a little, I don't know, desperate? Not sure if his repetitive mentioning of 'UMG' is due to pretentiousness or desperate emphasis on his unmentioned writing credit. Really, shame on you for not including it in your fan video on YouTube! How dare you! Also, what about Alexander Stoden? Not important enough to be credited as a writer in your video, as implied by Mr Co-Writer Out of Nowhere? Then again: Basically this, yes. I wonder if he sent this exact message to the ASCAP...
  20. She jokingly talked about the idea of releasing a collection of those songs entitled The Leaked Sessions in May. Who knows... maybe that idea did now turn into a collection called Ultraviolent since those songs have been ultraviolently stolen. I'm obviously kidding.
  21. All this time I've been trying to get my head around "Sad Dream." Its lyrics are very simple and one might easily suggest that it's about a lover, but I really don't think it is. Taking the video into consideration, she's singing about a father figure. Why else would they have the same face? What happened to her father? Are they in touch? I only remember Sky talking about her mom and grandmother... didn't her mother get pregnant at a young age? Jordan. I. Need. You. Here.
