This is interesting to me, what makes you think it's not finished? I hear a lot of people on this site calling the acoustic songs demos or unfinished and I listen to a lot of low-fi folk and stuff like that and the songs seem perfectly finished to me. I'm not specifically pointing at you btw, I'm just surprised. To me YGLM is untouchable. A more produced, polished version would be interesting to say the least but nothing will ever top the rawness of this, how unbelievably true it is, the simplicity makes the lyric and melody so bare boned and it's what makes me love it above everything. Since it's been bumped I'm saying it again and until after I die - it's still the best thing ever made

That's super interesting I feel like the exact contrary, I feel like BAR could be an UV outtake if a few things were tweaked and Love would have been on HM if it wasn't that happy lol. I adore BAR, Love is a really nice song but BAR is incredible, the prechorus and the verses and the bridge and THAT ENDING OMG. Only slightly less up top is the chorus but you rly get used to it. Love is still super nice tho but it decreased on me whereas BAR really grew

Hey I'm artsy as well and you have all right to like it and I see how you can relate to it but I think it just doesn't fits at all in regards of the themes we've been presented for now, and even if it is then there are better ways and better words to express it. The way she says it is not connected to that it's really just metaphoric. Plus it reminds me too much of Art Deco, it's already been done, and I think one of the biggest reasons I love the song is because I precisely love the contrast with the beauty and nostalgia of the melody and the irony of the lyrics, it's ironic af, it's why I feel good about it being called BAR now, because before I thought it'd be just ironic or just not ironic but it's so much deeper than that.
