Lana Del Rey attends Lady Gaga's Hollywood Birthday Party
May replied to Mind Melt's topic in Appearances
she looks strange, it could just be the camera flash though. i love her hair -
Wow look at how zoomed in the photos are. The paps could've been hundreds of feet from her spying like that. That's just creepy.

I think he means one of the songtitles are fake. Dirty Elvis Fantasy was a song he leaked which actually turned out to be MMITPM. I could be wrong tho

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

each time i see her her hair is lighter and she's lost a bit of weight, if she's starting to feel confident enough to put effort into her look and show up at more events maybe that means she'll actually put effort into promo for the next album

It doesn't look v intimate which makes me think it's for a soundtrack

thank god she's in the studio again so we can finally leave this lacklustre era behind along with Paradise -
u can see by her face she's lost weight

in my opinion: I think Born To Die was her losing what she thought to be her "soulmate/true love" and her struggling to move on/find a light at the end of the tunnel. (Dark Paradise, Without You, Summertime Sadness) Ultraviolence is a mix of her finding a new love (although not as intense as the one she experienced on BTD) and then losing that love too, but this time she doesn't seem to dwell on it as much as she did on BTD. (Brooklyn Baby, Cruel World, Black Beauty, Is This Happiness, Flipside) Then I see Honeymoon as her experiencing a different kind of love where she's just obsessed with and fascinated by this person/interested in just having fun with them rather than actually being in love with them. (Religion, Freak, MTWBT) It's a nice development really bc with each album she becomes more in control of her affections and less vulnerable to heartbreak

i never listen to this album anymore i listen to MTWBT and the Salvatore instrumental like once a week and that's it -
this charli fans really do the most when it comes to marina her "anger" (if you can even call it that) is understandable and anyone who has ever had their style completely replicated and the other person given credit for it would understand that
-
just bc it's the same photographer doesn't make it okay i'm not saying Charli is the one at fault but when you're a paid artist you can't just recycle the Xact same ideas for all of your clients

tbh i dont really find it that immature the shoot is a blatant copy and paste of her froot shoot

She also tweeted about it oop, I guess their friendship is over better_than_that.mp3

i went on a horror movie binge in the past 2 days and watched (all on netflix btw): V/H/S 1, 2 and 3 - all are suuuper good. i wish the segments were longer but in a way that makes it better bc it keeps u wanting more Last Shift - not bad.. wasn't great but i wouldn't say i regret watching it Babadook - hoooooly shit this was so suspenseful.. i love it bc the horror isn't reliant on jump scares and sudden loud noises but rather a psychological build-up, the relationship between the mother and child makes it 10x creepier Circle - it's an independent film so i wasn't expecting much, pretty much 99% of the movie takes place in the same room but it surpassed expectations, the ending was a great twist. parts of it were funny, parts sad, parts scary, i loved it Oculus - everyone told me this was shit scary.. i didn't love it tbh like it had a nice concept but it took too long to get off the ground, it should've been half an hour longer so that the climax could've been higher bc honestly i was waiting for it to get exciting and.. it just didn't. Pay The Ghost - mainly only watched this because of Sarah Wayne Callies.. i wish they had made her the main protagonist instead of Nicolas Cage. like Last Shift it wasn't bad but it wasn't spectacular either, a lot of cliches and the climax wasn't anywhere near scary or exciting enough

it's a good song but Hannah outshined her

Gods and Monsters tbh.. the lyrics are extremely powerful without being too complicated, for example 'life imitates art' is just 3 words but imo serves as a perfect response to all the backlash she got during the BTD era for her "fakeness" very short and snappy also when i think of 'lana del rey' the first song that comes into my head is always gods and monsters which says a lot considering i rarely even listen to it.. idk

she's been giving breathe on me a LOT of love lately... makes me think maybe a 2016 version will be on the album.. probably not but a stan can dream
