It would be cool if Lana did the entire Eliot Four Quartets poem that Burnt Norton was but the first part of.

After all the seemingly weekly shooting events in the USA, I for one wonder if maybe artists (Lana included) should hold off touring this year altogether. It is damn scary, isn't it?
And yet, morons all over the US want to add more guns, not do away with all guns. Lunacy.

As someone who has been familiar with Daniel for decades now (I also once met him in Texas), already very familiar with this song.

Lana does a great job, and the great thing is, Lana is introducing who knows how many people to Daniel and his music. Which is what is so great about Lana.
Look how many people she has led people to- from Lou Reed and Nina Simone and Leonard Cohen and the hundreds of references in her songs to so many others.
To newer or obscure acts including Barrie.

Great cover, and the changing of the words from lifetime to long time in the last verse makes a lot of sense if one knows Daniel and his story and would not make much sense
    with Lana.

Very proud of Lana for this.

I just read a brand new interview in Deadline Hollywood that James said the book was delayed because the publisher (he called them sleazy) put it out early without his or Lana or anyone's knowledge before they had permission, so it is delayed.
So indeed, Lana didn't know it had a date for release when she said that.

I think everything recorded as Lana Del Rey is a life road trip, in the proper albums (not bonus or extra songs, but the start to finish of the songs intended prior to bonus/extra)

Born to Die is NYC and ending with "This is what makes us girls" shows the trip has begun
Paradise is going from NYC to the West Coast and the land of Gods and Monsters (which is Hollywood itself) and the proverbial traveling through the vast land and different areas of America itself to arrive 3000 miles later.
Ultraviolence is arriving in California and totally absorbing the Santa Monica/Malibu lifestyle and creativity and seeing the difference between NYC/L.A.
Honeymoon is a self-reflection, possibly all the songs being Elizabeth vs. Lana which imho is implied in the bus photo itself- it is Elizabeth on a tour with her sister to see the houses of the stars, one of which is the proverbial house of Lana Del Rey. Having her sister take the photo for the album would be like most people on a tour of the stars,
having a relative take their picture looking out
Possible is the creation Lana has led to more complications in an already complicated life of Elizabeth Grant.

and the bonus songs stray somewhat which is why they are not in the album proper itself.

So each one a chapter in the on-going life of Elizabeth Grant. Almost like an anthology show like The Fugitive or Route 66 and each brings a fuller picture of the star/featured person it is about.

Which is also why it almost demands listening in the order it has. So one needs to start at Cut #1 and continue to the last and then press rewind and start again.

as one awaits what the next chapter after Honeymoon is...Rebirth? Redemption? Childbirth? Suburbia?

(awaiting reply that this has nothing to do with the OP).

I believe there are users/takers and hearts/givers. I have seen nothing to indicate she is a user or a taker in any way, shape or form from anything in her public life the last 9 or 10 years since I first heard of her way back. So I believe she is the giver, the heart.

    I'm a romantic in a cynical world.

End of the day, it is really none of my business and in the entertainment biz it is very hard for anyone to have a private life, be it one in the biz, one totally outside, two stars, one star/one less of a star, but she did have two men follow her 1000s of miles to be with her, whether she wanted that or not. Seems like they were becoming her, not the other way around.
Put in the mix of science/religion which is in direct conflict right there...

let's escape lizzy- while it doesn't have to be, it seems obvious to me, Lana is the good hearted person bringing in a wounded puppy or kitten.
I do find it interesting that both of the last two followed her thousands of miles. (has anyone seen that new tv show Crazy ex-?)(except in reverse)

as you say we have no idea really.

That picture posted last Saturday she and James looked happy, didn't they? Can one imagine if those two were a couple and both brought out the best in each other, would be quite interesting.
Have said they both seem to be in the exact same time and world, a time and world most others are not. And they are in a way equals.

I'm convinced that Lana is an empath and she's often drawn to narcissistic personalities and ends up getting hurt always.

Also have yall noticed the timing of Barrie's announcement about his break up with Lana, right when the news about her and Francesco's break up happened. By doing this he's hurting her when she's already wounded from her break up with Frankie. You know he could have just announced the "details" about his break up with Lana last year as well, why did he have to bring it up now?!? He thinks that Lana must be emotionally fragile now and will go running back to him but I know Lana won't ever reunite with a person like him. Now I can understand how her whole album Ultraviolence was sort of a warning to herself to keep her from ever returning to Barrie...God please send a nice man for Lana once...She deserves a good sweet man!!! Everybody pray for Lana please!! She needs our prayers now more than ever. Stay strong Angel. We all have your back <3

From what one reads, Lana was/is the primary person involved in the upbringing of her now old enough brother and sister for many years of their lives.
Seems like with all the problems he had, he was becoming more like either that, or a wounded puppy or kitten and while perhaps friends, perhaps lovers, perhaps wanting to move into the permanent relationship and children of her own, it was either grow up and perhaps she gave him wings to fly, and if it was meant to be, it will be, if not, it won't.

It is always honorable of Lana to never run to the media and blab blab blab about her relationships, except in very broad terms every so often, but she doesn't dish the dirt like
so many others who blather on constantly about their lovers (Taylor Swift, take a bow, Adele come on down).
How refreshing in this media TMZ age to not be part of that.

Lana's sole wish in everything is the music is what the artiste' releases. Not all the noise that seemingly every other singer/actor feels they need to do. Not publicity. Not dirt.
And once a year for a week or two do a few interviews, and if she desires a few months of touring.

Amazing that time and again, so many negative people on this board take everyones side by hers.
It is great she has family and her friends in her private life to talk to and confide in.

It is none of our business.  There is not one person here who needs to know. Go stand on a checkout line and read the rags.

Personally, I think Honeymoon is Elizabeth looking at Lana looking at Elizabeth looking at Lana looking at Elizabeth, and is a Hollywood movie ala Sunset Blvd.
And in High by the beach, she showed what she thought of gossip, Hollywood style.

People not taking no for an answer, then lingering in hopes of reunion sometimes borders on stalking
The only way to cut it off is to cut it off.
It's not like one is married and has kids and has to see each other every day.

Seems like she kept with him above and beyond her duty to.

She being such a good person she seems to be taken advantage of far too often. No means no means no means no.
