  1. I'm reading this book for a class called "We" by a Russian author named Yevgeny Zamyatin and I swear some of the chapter names sound like they'd be Lana songs, like "Incurable Soul", "Rulers of the World", "Angel", "I Died", "Descent from Heaven", "Through Glass", "Lily of the Valley", "If Only" honestly I feel like there's so much potential here for fake tracklists
  2. Ooh, I didn't hear the sounds in Terrence Loves You as chimes, they sounded more electronic to me (like the sounds you'd hear on a spaceship in some old cheesy scifi film). Unless I'm hearing something else and there's another layer of sound I'm missing (because I listened on youtube lol)
  3. Personally I feel like it's not fair to prejudge Lana based on her song titles because standalone some of them are truly awful ie "Brooklyn Baby" i stg... and yet, that's one of my favorite songs on UV.
  4. Technically, we don't even know if it's called Life is Beautiful... do we?
  5. This just occurred to me out of nowhere and it's pretty lame but what if Honeymoon is Lana fighting a dual-personality/persona? Like Lana Del Rey vs Elizabeth Grant? The fact that she has two instagrams made me think of this, as well as the two definitive genres that we can expect on the album. Also the line "You are what you are. I don't matter to anyone" in TLY makes me think of Elizabeth singing to Lana, maybe? And how she listens to the radio to hear herself again and how she lost herself when Lana faded (or more like, will possibly one day fade) into obscurity? Or maybe it's alluding to how Lizzy faded into obscurity.
  6. lana del rey is gonna team up with elon musk and he's going to build her a replica of chateau marmot on the moon
  7. Can I just say that "But I've still got jazz when I've got the blues" is a great lyric. I love it so much, and I wasn't tooooo impressed by TLY (I didn't think it was that bad, though).
  8. "I doubt Lana is researching a Californian governor to be quirky and subversive." You know what, that comment was definitely reaching but I can no longer believe that Lana isn't that weird, because she is. For instance, Terrence loves you is about Terence V. Powderly (1849-1924), Union Leader in the Civil War, Politician, Lawyer, and three-term mayor of Scraton, Pennsylvania.
  9. I looved it queen give me more of those silky, high production vocals
  10. Listen, I love that Lana is just doing things for herself and no one else at this point but... great. That means that people are allowed to not like her creative vision. It is for her. And I don't like a lot of the visuals, to be honest, and Terrence Loves You was very messy, but again, my thinking that (or anyone thinking that) does not matter. There are aspects I like, though. Reverb Hollywood hunny with a little Elon Musk captures futureretro well, to me, and Honeymoon is still gorgeous. And I loved the HBTB video personally but idk
  11. Guys the hotline tho...... low q burnt norton interlude talking about eternity. elon musk ted talk on demand. i s2g lizzy was abducted by an alien save her
  12. I predict that something is going to happen tomorrow and also other things and the sun will probably rise but don't quote me, you know how god is with his promotion, it all depends upon what his label wants to put out
  13. Omg, same? All I wanna do is get sleep by the beach. For once. Because I have to take 2 melatonin tablets to knock myself out
  14. Hollywood has that futureretro vibe and stereotypical Lana narco swing that would make it somehow perfect in the middle of an album that seems to be pretty much miscellany. It's like if Jane Jetson developed a drug habit.
  15. Life is Beautiful (china.palace remix)-- Lying is Beautiful
  16. legit tracklist lana is waiting for a fan to post an edit with the other five so she can steal it and use it
  17. She says "Crying tears of gold like lemonade" in Ultraviolence? smh I'm so pissed, that's terrible, I thought she was saying "Crying tears of gold when you're calling my name" or something I hate the real lyrics this ruined me
  18. I don't like... Pretty When I Cry. I think it's whiny and I always skip it.
  19. watch the cover art be stolen from someone's tumblr i joke, though, i feel like we're too blessed this era, it's all happening so fast
  20. Unpopular opinion (maaaybe): A lot of Lana's lyrics really are quite vapid. The beautiful instrumentals sort of distract from that... and I think there's absolutely nothing wrong with that! I don't listen to Lana to have profound philosophical breakthroughs. edit: oh and also Live or Die V2 is a bop and I will love it forever
