  1. What the actual fuck? Stay safe sis and everyone else too... there's not a single good feeling about this.
  2. Yeah this was disappointing for sure, but I remain optimistic in California remaining blue - I read that even Orange County kept being blue so there's something. Newsom also seems to want to take steps to shield Cali as much as possible. He called for a special session to fund California's legal defense against Trump. The California sub and adjacent city subs also remain heavily anti Trump so, there's glimmers of hope. After all that's what we have left to push back agaisnt this clown.
  3. The contrast back to 2020... people dancing and blasting ''Party in the U.S.A'' on the streets when Biden won
  4. I was just thinking this, it's wild that Mexico with its deeply rooted machismo culture still managed to get its first woman president before the U.S, who seems to be going backwards at full speed and Sheinbaum won by a landslide too, even when she was competing against a conservative woman and a man with relative popularity. She's holding off congratulating him too, she says she's waiting for the counts to finish. I just know she's disappointed she didn't get to congratulate Kamala
  5. PLEASE she must be seething I completely forgot about her
  6. She better work on an upgraded hex, the last one flopped assuming she isn't celebrating with her hubby
  7. Sometimes I wonder what awaits the newer generations with how the world is right now... God help us all.
  8. You're not being dramatic, I feel the same way a lot of the time, especially since I work in the humanitarian sector. On top of all of the things you listed, this man has basically become an idol to people who now feel they're free and right to be misogynistic, racist, xenophobic, homophobic, transphobic, etc. His presence and return to the office is a horrible thing, I wish the damage he does would only shoot his supporters on the foot - but it will cause damage everywhere unfortunately. He's been on a crusade to end and tear apart the U.S asylum system since he came into office and I'm sure he will continue what he started, probably will pull funding from aid organizations, militarize even further the border and he already stated he'd start a massive deportation campaign. It's going to be pure dread.
  9. I can't hardly have any optimism here, but I can only imagine the harsh reality when they all realize Trump won't suddenly solve the impending recession with a magic wand and probably just dig their graves even deeper. He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword.
  10. Truly feeling the dread of Roger Waters ''Is This The Life We Really Want?'', like, that album and title track came out in 2017 so he was reeling in from the awful 2016 election...
  11. They were just representing how we feel about Trump truly a orange turd!
  12. I also struggle a lot with that idea too. Unfortunately, speaking within the mexican context, I guess it also comes from a lot of issues in mexican society: internalized racism leading to idolizing of US/European people and culture, the idea that a right wing government being more harsh and oppressive equals to more public security, the deeply rooted misogyny that has lead to widespread femicides and hate of feminist women, etc. Honestly, the fact that Claudia Sheinbaum managed to win easily here is sort of a miracle, too bad Trump winning means he'll be on her ear non stop.
  13. Really disappointed at my fellow latinos being dense asf voting and supporting Trump - seriously, talk about self hating
  14. IF YOU COME BACK TO CALIFORNIA, YOU SHOULD JUST HIT ME UUUP
  15. Really sad to see the race so close. I'm dreading what will happen at the U.S-Mexico border if Trump returns to the office, he's already thrown threats at Claudia Sheinbaum if she doesn't keep militarizing our immigration institutions. It's too early for me to sleep, I think I will drink a cup of tea to relax.
  16. This is so well written and organized thank you so much for sharing!
  17. Yeah I gotchu, she has found a very comfortable and safe space with Jack + her team so it does leave her to stagnate a bit at times. She has found a very good peaceful spot in her life so I can 100% understand why she simply prefers to keep it that way until she feels ready to move on. Hopefully though she decides to experiment soon in the next record, I think Ocean Blvd. definitely is a good omen for her future records with more eerie vibes at times
  18. Same. I'd love for her to do something a bit outside of her comfort zone but I don't wanna get my hopes up there's a lot of genres she could be doing or drawing influences from that could make the next record really good/interesting. Pretty much mpossible but, what if she did a disco inspired track?
  19. I know I just found it funny that he's near the area that's all
  20. Is she still in Florence? Evan posted a story in Nashville at the Academy of Country Music HQ
