  1. She did the french lipsters so dirty choosing such a small venue. When she announced she was coming to Mexico's Foro Sol, with a capacity of 65,000 people, some people were commenting stuff like ''she probably won't be able to fill the stadium, hopefully I'll get tickets on sale''....and like sis there were more than 40,000 people on the queue, instant sold out
  2. SHE SANG SALVATORE ugh what a show, I'm so happy for her!! I'm really excited for the Paris show now
  3. I think the biggest factor is that it is pretty much buried beneath her now 9 albums plus collabs, EPs, remixes, etc. on top of the mountain of unreleased music, it becomes really overwhelming for a newer fan to start combing through her material. It is also a pretty unique sounding album with the 'surf noir' sound and B movie aesthetics, it clashed with Lana's then luscious hollywood glamour image. I remember vividly opening up iTunes and seeing BTD's cover, looking Lana up on Youtube and falling in love with her music. By the time I learned about AKA's existence, Honeymoon was months away to be released and I had already been playing BTD and UV to death while waiting for Honeymoon, so I had plenty of time to get familiar with AKA. Queen of The Gas Station was my favourite song off of it for a loooong time, but nowadays I think that title goes for Pawn Shop Blues.
  4. Pretty sure my first CD was A Little Bit Longer by the Jonas Brothers lol. My first vinyl was The Dark Side of the Moon 40th Anniversary Editon, it was a gift from my parents in high school.
  5. He indeed has been one of her main muses and the relationship that has led to the creation of a lot of her best tracks imo. His influence is present in almost every album of hers and it doesn't surprise me since they had great creative chemistry. The fact that they still hold respect and high regards for each other is heartwarming, and thankfully we got Riverside released officially! A joint album would've been absolute magic, but at least we have the tracks they created at the time to enjoy.
  6. Barrie will always be my favourite collaborator of hers feature wise. Their voices match incredibly well, Summer Wine and Riverside are amazing. Her collabs with Stevie Nicks, Bobby Womack and Sean Lennon are among my favourites too. From Ocean Blvd. Jon Batiste and Father John Misty are also top notch features, they're among the tracks I listen to the most from the album. I'm sure the upcoming track from Jon's newest album with her as a feature will be just as amazing as Candy Necklace.
  7. Same luckily I don't have a friend to go with me lol otherwise I would probably end up blowing my savings flying all the way to Europe to see her, and in my favourite city ever Omg congrats!! it is indeed a dream come true, I'm sure she will do an absolute magical show, especially on such an iconic and intimate venue. Btw will the magazine publish the report online? I'm learning french so I would be interested in reading it if so
  8. Ready for the iconic beehive and red nails with a white lace dress omg
  9. I'm really curious about why she decided to make an emphasis on the Paris show instead of announcing it like the others tho... maybe I'm reading too much into it but why is it special? I know l'Olympia is an iconic venue where legends such as Édith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Dalida, The Beatles and Jeff Buckley gave concerts, so I wonder if she's going to do something different from the rest of the performances so far or even tease something?
  10. Not her deciding to communicate through other people instead of keeping honeymoon up jsjs.... it's giving ouija board
  11. Y&B - I've seen the world, done it all, had my cake now Old Money - Blue hydrangea, cold cash divine, cashmere cologne and white sunshine Videogames - Swingin' in the backyard, pull up in your fast car whistlin' my name Bel Air - Gargoyles standing at the front of your gate, trying to tell me to wait, but I can't wait to see you
  12. When she sings Paris, Texas and changes the lyrics ''IIIIII went to Paris... (France)''
  13. Jon's work on Candy Necklace is immaculate, I'm so excited to see what they've been working on omg
  14. PLS.... imagine if she sings Salvatore while the sun sets on the beautiful italian countryside, pure bliss
  15. I'm gonna start being delusional and hope that she plays a few solo shows in the US come on Lanz
  16. My favourite poem of hers is by far My Bedroom is a Sacred Place Now - There Are Children at the Foot of My Bed, I read it as I was leaving behind a very damaging situationship and it helped me so much to relate to and find comfort in it.
  17. Please the lyric change in Young & Beautiful.... yesterday I was making a wedding playlist with the song in it She looked so good, I just hope the next performances go more smoothly
  18. The conversation has been, rightfully so, concentrated on the aspect of wealth because of the sheer mobilization and coverage on them. Meanwhile, boats carrying hundreds of refugees in the Mediterranean sea have capsized within the same timeframe, with many people feared dead and missing, while coast guards of neighbouring countries ignore them and even outright reject carrying out rescue efforts. Humanitarian organizations are usually the ones out there doing rescue missions and yet, once they get to land they get arrested. There's a bleak contrast between how 24/7 news coverage and rescue efforts have been done for 5 people who, thanks to their privilegued status within our system, have spend a copious amount of money in a suicide vanity mission to see a ship wreckage where 1,500 people died hundreds of years ago, while within the same week, a boat carrying about 750 refugees and asylum seekers escaping war and famine capsized, with a death toll rising by the minute, has been practically overshadowed and not given the same importance in rescuing those people. There are regulations and standards in place for deep sea excursions/exploration, many professionals have been commenting on it and given their opinions/criticism based on their professional experience, the founder just decided to ignore them because, well, he was rich and decided to cut corners and ''innovate'', which sadly resulted in the fatalities. I don't think there's more to it, it's a clear warning to anybody else trying to do the same. The same attention and rescue efforts should be given to everybody in need.
  19. Well, It's still in stock in her stores except the Spain, Mexico and US one. The hype seems to have settled a bit and most of the stores ship international anyways.
  20. The entirety of Honeymoon would fit so well, as well as American and Yayo imo. On a non-Lana note, Kacey's Velvet Elvis would also be really cute: ''I need a Graceland kind of man who's always on my mind (...) Go out with you in powder blue and tease my hair up high''.
