  1. I was hearing rumors that we may get it mid summer (july-august) but there were really no grounds for that to be fact. I do have a nervous feeling that we won't be getting the album by fall or even this year. While I know she's made it clear she's distancing herself from being a rapper, female rappers have had notoriously rough times getting their albums out. BWET was delayed for almost 3 years, The New Classic was delayed for almost a year, Kreayshawn missed her window by like a year and a half because she couldn't get her album out, and the only reason we even got Angel Haze's album was because she leaked it on soundcloud.
  2. ^ its the background footage from her Paper Magazine 30th Anniversary Party performance. You can see it in the background at like 0:13-0:16 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgMM6h4XBUw However the video for the new song "Renegade" is done and it was directed by SSION who did Perfume Genius' "Queen" video (which was amazing). I'm really excited for her new material!!!!!

    Sia

I got it in a torrent of her discography

    Sia

I'm not entirely sure that exists (at least I know it hasn't leaked). Just a fan made snippet from pieces together backing vocals stems from the original Britney song
  5. KillForLove

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little salty the All My Love demo wasn't a bonus track on the album

X-Ray Specs (feat. Ur Mate Dennis)

Also just an observation, but it seems when Sophie produces he doesn't pitch vocals (minus that song he did for the performance art girl) but seems to pitch them for his own songs

    Charli XCX

I understand she said she was working on her new album and was working with him, but it sounds way too Sophie to be for her album. Also DJs are notorious for playing in process songs during their shows. Avicii was playing Wake Me Up and Dear Boy (which every idiot thought had Lana on the vocals) over 6th months before Wake Me Up was released and almost 9 months before the album even had a title/tracklist/date. Diplo is notorious for this too

To be fair most if not all of Sophie's music has always sounded poorly produced. It's appeal (at least to my knowledge) has always been the "less is more" tactic

I actually love the Famous video (more for its message than for its content). It feels like Charli either has her head back on right or is headed in the right direction. The whole video is really there to do the Sucker era dirty as you can tell by the little ad section of the video. It subtly trashes stan culture (which in a matter of 3 years has gotten completely out of hand) and manages to shed some light on the Sucker era. I'm probably over analyzing it and I totally don't want to sound like one of those pop star stans who thinks up crazy wild theories about music videos, but the whole ad clip really felt to me like a comment on how her label turned an album that was supposed to be her rebelling against the music industry (the song Sucker is the one used in the ad) and made it into this watered down, commercial pop nightmare that was forced on her and possibly her fans. Again I'm probably over analyzing it, but thats definitely what I took away from the video. I'm really happy that the video shows that Charli is starting to push back against the era, which to me has been nothing but her label forcing her to do what they think will work (and it ends up being a mess)

Did anyone get the chance to rip those snippets? I'm dying to hear them

    SOHN

I was thinking of TOT when he went by Toph Taylor. I #RIHmember reading some comments online from some TOT fans who were not happy that he changed his name and was pretending TOT didn't exist. And when was he in the studio with MØ!??!!? I remember reading or watching some interview where she said she was listening to his album and wanted to work together but I didn't think it would actually happen?!?!!? I'm excited, but I'm not sure how it will work out, I guess like more Dust Is Gone, downtempo electronic?

    SOHN

Tremors was probably one of the best albums of 2014, and he does it all live very well. Between the 4AD Sessions and his KEXP session, I'm looking for any chance to see him! He also did great production work for Banks Also he has projects under his birthname Christopher Taylor but I think they're less electronic
  14. Anyone know why Ariel Rechtshaid is thanked in the "Special Thanks To" section of the Sunday School - EP credits?
  15. Glad someone made a thread about this, I was just thinking bout how they needed one! Their EP was incredible, so excited for the album!
  16. This mixtape was honestly............terrible compared to her first two mixtapes................I'm upset I was excited for it but I don't like a single track on it
  17. Thats exciting she's working with Ryan Hemsworth again! 1 for Me was great

    Grimes

I don't really understand the whole Grimes fans complaining about her making pop music. Claire has always been vocally supportive of pop music and a big reason her music was so electronic was because she didn't have the means to make pop music. If you listen to her progression as an artist you can hear as her production and writing skills got better her music became more and more pop sounding, hence why Visions sounds way more pop than Halfaxa. As much as I throughly enjoy her work to this point, I am extremely excited after hearing Go, Realiti, and now Entropy. I think Claire is a very talented writer, producer, and overall artist and I'm excited to see what she can bring to the table in terms of pop music and pushing the limits of pop music.
  19. I saw a copy of the Froot CD in my local record store on Saturday so some stores already have it
  20. Also an fyi to CD collectors, signed copies still available here https://www.newburycomics.com/rel/v2_viewupc.php?storenr=103&upc=103-2041885N
  21. I can't bring myself to like Froot at all Its a noticeable downgrade from the first two albums

    Ryn Weaver

I love her music but from the live videos I've seen (Letterman/VEVO Live) I'm not sure I'd enjoy seeing her live. She sort of overdoes that shaky thing she does with her voice live
  23. KillForLove

    Washed Out

I can second that, his live show is more of an experience than a show. Easily one of my favorite show's I've ever been to. He was also probably the nicest artist I've ever talked with after a show

    Ryn Weaver

Not sure if any of you care but they repressed her EP, this one just isn't signed like the first batch http://store.interscope.com/Product.aspx?cp=59728_59763_67746&pc=IXLPRW02
  25. The producers are probably living at how much publicity this got them tho...........
