The “okay” after it’s not about having someone to love me anymore. Yes, just yes. Like the littlest fucking details and embellishes she adds. She’s just so fucking genius. I still cannot get over the soundscape for AW. Really love the industrial undertones in it too.  

Just like all the experimentation and play with sounds, clips, production etc. Somebody mentioned it earlier but def serves Nine Inch Nails to me, maybe mixed with some Bjork. I can see the Massed comparisons too. Just wow, what a fucking experience. Second half def serves Paradise and that unreleased energy/vibe.

Different types of tracks to me, A&W feels more introspective and a reflection of her real life, thoughts, feelings, experiences, etc. That said if I had to pick between the two A&W hits harder than Shades. 

I missed all the hype while being at work. Everything has already been said. Not much to add. I am just fucking floored. Totally wasn't expecting this level. It is amazing how she keeps pushing boundaries and changing 10+ years into her career. Just like, fucking legend behavior. No contemporaries can compete with her, she truly is one of a kind. Song is obv 10/10, instant classic. Love love love both sides, the lyrics just raw and visceral in the best way, there is a real bite that isn't as muted as the last couple albums. We are so fucking lucky guys.

Loved all the singles. The album tracks are very good as well. I love the album as a whole! It is definitely an experience.  That said the new songs are something I’m going to have to give repeat listens and sit with. Caroline’s music in general is like that to me. There is so much to absorb and just kind of fall into that you have to take the time to take it all in.  My fave album track so far though is Crude Drawing Of An Angel, like damn that song hitssss. I’m sure my faves will change as I listen more though. She is so amazing though. Like just pushing the boundaries and crafting her own lane.

Thematically these kind of of drum up Ride/Ride monologue vibes to me. Of course WFWF as well, it just interesting how full circle she always comes and how much she really kind of shared earlier in her career that is expanded on. I love her for that!
 

Outside of observation above, sooooo excited to finally have something that is concrete-ish to look forward to.

I’m torn on having another single but definitely think it is needed. Just one more before the album and I’ll be happy!

I REALLY wish they would have put more out, they were amazing.

Could this mean The Grants  is the next single or is it just because it is first in the track list lol!

Also just want to say the imagery and shoots for this album are fucking fire. The track list is iconic and legendary already.Really feel like she is not holding back with this album and am super excited for it! The small delay isn't that bad honestly, what's a couple more weeks. I definitely will be making my 5th or 6th variation purchase when the boxset drops too. We are really being spoiled lol!

I don’t know. Those lyrics read kind of legit to me. February 8th is so far away now though!

I used to think this, for the longest time, since it was released but then it clicked for me one day and I had it on repeat that whole day lol. Idk it’s very niche. Like kind of show tunes-ish. Either way now I appreciate it lol. Love the ooohhsss, they make the song for me.

I don't remember the description verbatim but BOZ said the long acronym song seems to reference how she's been treated in the past in the way many people thought Mariner's did but he felt like this song was more expressive of that. He also said the track addresses her being in control and in charge. While saying that he did say that it was kind of open for interpretation and he couldn't wait till she spoke on it more. Maybe someone can link it, I can't remember if it was on Twitter or ATRL lol. Too much spilling in too many places!

But definitely seems like your sub conscious has been hinting at this to you. I wouldn't be surprised if this is that aspect you keyed in on for this album release! 

Super excited to hear the album in general but this track's description really has me intrigued. 

I’m also curious about the next single. I’m thinking will either be A&W or the long acronym song that BOZ says actually addresses her treatment by critics/media in the past and asserts her being a woman in charge. I really kind of hope it’s the latter. The material covered and the sea theme reminiscent of Mariners really really has me peaked. I’d also love one of the singles being a direct call out to all the bullshit.  I’d also be down with AW too though. I can see it since VB was released. Lol either way not really expecting DYK to have a video but am anticipating the next one too.

I would love the indie green cover picture for a picture disc. Like that would be perfection. I also wouldn’t mind the Amazon cover and even think some of the inner sleeve pics could be cute like maybe the black and white with her smiling and her hair pulled up. I have a feeling if we get a picture disc though it may be a shot we haven’t seen yet.

I’m really hoping we get signed editions rather it is the vinyl itself or lithographs. I’m sure we will probably get something closer to release to pump up sales more.

My exact feelings/thoughts. The green cover is just pure perfection. Amazon would be second as well. The white is also my least fave but it and the standard were the first ones I got since the alts hadn’t been dropped yet. Like I panic bought them as soon as they went live in store lol. I should have waited! Oh well, the only one I ended up not getting was the dark pink. It’s cute but I just think the other alts are better! I may end up getting later though.

personally rn i feel like the white will be the most rare since it is just from her webstore & not a big retailer. i think the light pink will be the second most rare bc it is already sold out on most anazon sites & the email from lana's store shows that one as sold out yet none of the others are shown that way which makes me think it really will not be restocked. then i would say the dark pink bc it seems like with cotcc, it will be available thru a different retailer in each country instead of just target/hmv like with bb. & i feel like the green might be the most available of the alt variants bc it seems like it is available at even more indie stores than her indie exclusive usually is plus if it is the one urban outfitters gets, it will definitely be a little more abundant. then of course i think the standard will be the easiest to find bc for years after it will probably be the only one sold. but i am not an expert on what retailers get restocks usually, so this is all just my assumptions.

Loved this, super accurate and fitting for me as well. I also absolutely love the top 5 in addition to I'll Be Seeing You, another fave.

Def think we will get a more proper single as well, not really knowing the tracklist though there isn't a lot to go off of. I wouldn't be surprised if A&W ended up being the single though. The way it was described and it being so wild and out there so to speak makes me feel like maybe they'd want to hype it up. It'd be kind of cute having both VB and A&W as singles, their titles and both being Jack partnerships.
