  1. I've honestly had the song on repeat since it came out. While that isn't necessarily unusual there is something so very special about this one. To me it is just so easily relatable and really enables the listener to truly connect being many of us have these same feelings--longing, wanting love and acceptance, feeling empty and lost, wanting to not be forgotten. These are all universal. While I love love love the last two albums and title tracks I feel like this one is more easily accessible because it's not as specific. The lyrics and metaphors used are much more general, open, and universal. Not sure if it was this thread but I saw a few of you guys mention the emotion felt when listening to this and I definitely have felt the same. Beautiful track, yet another classic.

This album really feels so special, I can't quite put my finger on it but I am ready for what's to come. Super intrigued with all the info, def think we are in for an interesting journey album wise.

  2. Busy day at work so I'm late to the party. I'll summarize some thoughts. I'm just so overwhelmed with the little we have gotten so far. The visuals, the direction, the music. Honestly the track is kind of a culmination of her recent sounds as other have said but it is pure magic. Honestly it's so personal, raw, emotional, and relatable. It hit me like a ton of bricks just on how deeply connected I feel the same way sometimes. I am sure we all do. Nobody really can speak to me the way that she does, it's just so real. I think part of her appeal is how relatable she is and just how easy it is to feel connected. I'm rambling now. Super fucking excited with all the information we got. The albums and photos are just so beautiful and spectacular. I've ended up splurging and getting four of the vinyl variants. I just feel like everything about this release feels so special. I cannot wait! Also would like to add the fucking letter she wrote, ugh! Final add on I am so happy the backup singers I hear. They are amazing and blend with Lana so well and add so much beauty, warmth, and harmony. Nobody is doing it like her, other girls fucking wish!

The album title is actually Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd and it's kinda uglee. I prefer every word with a capital letter.

I can see how the non caps throws people off but it doesn’t bother me so much as some of the cap choices from NFR did. With this it seems more like it is a question or statement so I get the non caps. The title is very Lana at this point though lol.

Thank you both so much! Wow, that’s actually really close to official. Is BOZ just a known leaker for Lana?

Sorry to be annoying. I’ve been a dedicated fan for years, I just don’t follow these threads super closely bc I get overwhelmed that I’m already out of the loop so then I get even more out of the loop. :flop:

I’m trying to get more knowledgeable/involved though, so thank you again for the help.

Boz isn't necessarily a leaker but is a super reliable insider who normally has info regarding future releases relatively early on. Him and Eclipse would be our most reliable insiders. If coming from him you can pretty much confirm it is truth, unless Lana changes her mind last minute which she has with info he's provided before. That said this album/release is locked in so nothing is changing. Official announcement is today, let's go!

  5. Yesterday was crazy lol. This thread really blew up while I was at work. Same situation today with meetings on and off throughout day too I’m sure. Either way super pumped and ready for the announcement!

Fingers crossed it isn’t until after 430p CST but I know it will be late morning early afternoon lol. We are here though!

I’m so hyped. March 10th isn’t ideal but isn’t horrible either lol. Really really hoping we get preorder drop now though. Want to go ahead and snag whatever physicals I want.

Random thoughts about the song titles. A. We are definitely leaning into her poetry which is something I expected.  B. What if all the titles make up a poem or go together someway somehow in a statement or story.  The latter is probably less likely but seems interesting.

even though she said it would be a digital release i’m still hoping for vinyl

Honestly even if she did a digital release first they are still doing physicals. There is no way the label would not do physicals with how her fan base is. That said I don’t think they would allow a digital drop with physicals later. I’m sure they’d want physicals with initial drop for her number wise.

Release on the 9th? :dua: I don't believe it, otherwise there would have been a leak by now if record stores have it in their system internally.

I also feel like the label would want a longer lead period for physical purchases and being able to have them shipped first week. Just not realistic to me. Would be fucking amazing and absolutely shocking if it did happen though.

BOZ said that when Lana announces the album he will speak more about it:hdu:

"I just want her to announce it all though, once she will I will speak more"

Yes. I find it interesting how he says announce “it all” like my delulu mind makes me overthink that. That said though I doubt we have more than an album/single/pre order coming.

  9. I really feel like everything is done, it just seems that way. There really is no reason to prolong the rollout except for holidays and or vinyl production. It all will depend on when album was submitted for vinyl processing but I definitely think we are getting within Q1. I'm really thinking we will get a pre order and date this week too but there is always a possibility we may not. Time will tell!

let’s not forget that an album rollout isn’t just the pre-release, but also the post-release. coming this Friday does not invalidate the rollout to keep going. remember honeymoon was one of her best rollouts and the album was out 2 weeks after announcement if I’m right

It definitely was one of her best. So smooth, simple, and fast lol. I think she officially announced August and album released September. We did have Honeymoon single at end of July though I believe. Either way I want the same set up for this one. A nice proper rollout but short and on point with no hiccups.

  11. I'm anticipating album announcement Wednesday with the pre order and 1st single dropping Friday.

As for the actual release date I'm going to say Jan/Feb although March could be possible as well.

We will see though. I'm hoping for a short but impactful little rollout like Honeymoon.

We don't have to drag it on for months and definitely not anticipating a HUGE era even if it is more planned out and promoted.

Okay so my theory is she's gonna post the album cover and tracklist on her Honeymoon account with a vague caption like 'Can't wait for you guys to hear it. Release date soon x' and then she'll tag Jack and Neil and then poof! We'll be feeding off of crumbs until April :prettyhurts:

    Reverse manifesting works!

A really great record and a masterpiece are not the same by far:hdu: perhaps he wasn't talking about Lana

Perhaps or maybe the initial novelty and appeal has worn off to him. He really isn't a Lana stan so I think it is safe to say he may tire of her easily/quickly. Either way still think "really great" and it being better than last two "by a landslide" are good signs that we are in for something newer, a bit different, and very interesting.

variety... nothing like we heard before... yep that's the lana we all love and wanted back. personally I'm proud of being fan of someone who doesn't stick to the same thing forever. someone who had the courage to pull an ultraviolence after a sound like BTD

queen mother is gonna scalp us alive!!! wig-snatch-pageant.gif

Period. Like she is a true trendsetter/trailblazer. Multiple albums that really shifted and shaped what pop music is today. Then not too mention her fucking work ethic and drive. An album a year almost! Like her contemporaries fucking wish. So prolific and always quality, we all may have our likes and dislikes but you cannot say the bad she puts out is same level as others. Especially when reviewing how vast her catalog is. We are def in for another fucking LDR classic/turning point! Let's go!

Born To Die is more accessible.

While it is a classic and one that most know her by I definitely feel like NFR has a broader range of sounds and styles that makes it more accessible to MULTIPLE groups and types of listeners. BTD is accessible in the way it so heavily praised and loved by so many but def feel like the sound is more niche and can alienate some listeners whereas NFR had a little bit for everyone.

I dont know why, at the moment, I feel like this about this album, but Eclipse had an interesting review of Taylor’s Midnights, where he said she integrated and polished all of her pop albums and turned their best elements into midnights. I think this could be the same for Lana’s: elements from UV, HM, NFR, BB and Violet while still being own and unique way.

    This!
