YES. Finally someone gets it! Born To Die was amazing and people have to stop acting like it was shit. Its an amazing album. Its on a whole other level. Yes it had beats and yes it was pop. I don't know why people act like something is wrong with liking this album. its my favorite and always will be 

This is not a hate post against you or your opinion at all, and I am very satisfied with HM as an album, but I also don't get people who throw crap at BTD all the time and say that just because it's her first official album somehow it's also her worst.
 
I don't get why would someone NOT want her to write about honoring long lost love and a glamorous lifestyle, when that world is so captivating, it just draws you in.

I don't get why would someone not want her to do photoshoots this amazing again, who, why would you not want her to look this good again?

 
Born To Die was not only an album, it was an experience. What she does now does not compare. But I also understand that it is not supposed to, as making BTD was her main goal in life.
Now, HM is a wonderful album and I sincerely love all songs. But I can't help but feel that BTD is on a whole other level.

Honeymoon is good music to fall asleep to. Its so tranquilizing with its sedative effects

I realize the more I listen to Honeymoon, I somehow start liking Ultraviolence way more.

UV is my least favorite album. I don't hate it, I just prefer BTD and Paradise a lot more.

Like "Flipside" came on shuffle today and even though I always loved the song I felt it in a way I didn't in a long time! And then I felt the really strong urge to listen to PWYC, MPG and Cruel World. Needless to say, I had a good time :dance: :dance:
And then I was like let's keep going and I listened to Ultraviolence (song) and the bridge fucked my ears so good I was totally dead.

I love Terrence, really like The Blackest Day, enjoy Freak a lot, Swan Song might be the most "imperial" song in the album, REALLY loved it... And well, I like Salvatore.

But I'm underwhelmed. Didn't go crazy over Ultraviolence, let alone this album... I just feel AKA is her best album, the songwriting feels very, VERY genuine, and the melodies are delicate.... Born To Die was amazingly good but as someone pointed out earlier, it was the album she came out of the blue with. It's impossible to repeat that experiencie.
