I love it's current instrumental!! I've always been a fan of 80's influences. It feels like a natural progression from the 80s synthpop of True Romance to a more punk sound. The only thing I don't like is how at the end it seems like it's building into something and then it ends...

Just re-watched "The Fool" and at the end you can literally see her jumping from the pasture to a rocky beach, THERE HAS TO BE A CONTINUATION RYN PLZ

Thank God I thought I was the only one not being able to see how 1989 was 'copying' Lana besides Wildest Dreams. (Now that I think of it, I'd find it oddly entertaining seeing Lana perform songs like Shake It Off and All You Had To Was Stay all positive and happy and jumping around the stage, it'd be the best thing to be honest )

Can we please enjoy the album without fucking talking about it.

Agreed, Wildest Dreams is the only track on 1989 that made me think "this is a Lana song."

Some people in here actually believe Lana has influenced every other artist out there who is successful or has changed style to become more successful?
LOL.. what a foolish thought..cant believe im actually posting on this.. I love Lana's music/style/sound too but not blindly coloring up a fantasy..
 
there have actually been artists out there doing what Lana does now,- decades ago, even more recent. she didn't invent her style of music.
in interviews, shes even said- she "copies artists styles she wants to emulate" big deal! everyone does that. its called influences (when you are a musician).
what I love about her, is her vocals. many others do very similar songs. its got nothing to do with her sadcore. many have/were doing sadcore. its nothing new.

BYE i got a chance to listen and decided to only listen to new constellations and it's soooooo fucking good wtf..... the 2nd half of the song is insane she's like yelling and it feels like you're in some whirlwind or something. that is some cinemagic right there i'm telling y'all

Am I the only one that gets some Rolling Stones, Stevie Knicks, and Fleetwood Mac vibes from this record? I'm especially hearing it in Mother and Third Eye, respectively.

Thanks so much for the review  I am on pins and needles and I cannot wait for this album!  I was hoping NC would be a favorite.  But I can tell from the live performance that Traveling Song sounds amazing.  Same with Pierre.  Do you feel let down by this album?  Do you think Ryn has space to stand out amongst all the other girls out there right now?  What is the most defining thing about the album?  Sorry I'm quizzing you so hard!
