  1. I see that she's been referencing Warhol this era, with the photo she posted on Instagram and now those V magazine shots are reminiscent of Warhol's polaroids too
  2. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/lana-del-rey-v-magazine-james-franco_55e6e5f3e4b0c818f619bdb1 Apparently the cover was left completely unretouched

  7. God Lana has to release something because y'all are bored out of your minds
  8. No acknowledgement for Dark Paradise? That's my favourite Lana song lyric-wise
  9. I must be the only one who sees no similarities between Lorde and Lana. It's obvious with Swift but imo Lorde's image and sound is completely different from Lana's
  10. I saw China palace mention that Lana wants to make Honeymoon a visual album. It would be awesome if she made a video for every song, but I'd literally die if she made a video for Art Deco. It would be so perfect, she could shoot a video in Miami amongst all those beautiful Art Deco hotels
  11. I suppose I may come off as shady because I cannot really 100% relate to this fandom, but I do love Lana so I like to come to this forum
  12. This is the second time I'm seeing you refer to Terry as Terry Bowie His name was Terry Burns and besides his name could not possibly even be Bowie because Bowie's actual name is Jones and Bowie is just his stage name
  13. Someone in the Lana fandom comes up with an idea/interpretation and then everybody runs with it, I've noticed that this has happened several times already, like with the Ultraviolence video where somebody on youtube commented that it must be about Jim Morrison and Pamela's relationship and then everybody took it as the truth and most recently how somebody mentioned on youtube that Terrence is Bowie's half-brother and now everybody believes that
  14. I wouldn't be surprised if Music To Watch Boys To is an instrumental tbh
  15. I'm excited for all the songs except MTWBT and Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood. But I'm especially interested in knowing what she will be singing about in Art Deco
  16. I hope that Freak won't be a take on 'I'm so crazy and different from other people, so lonesome in this world' aka Ride part 2
  17. I think the most feasbile thing here is that Lana read a book about Bowie (didn't she say that she liked reading biographies about musicians?) and saw Terry being mentioned there, maybe his story touched her heart and she liked his name, so she just decided to use it as the name in the song's title
  18. What rock have you been living under Edit: nvm I saw your other post lmao
  19. I don't know where else to write this, but I've been here for a couple of months and I've noticed how many pretentious people there seem to be here, and people are always trying to connect Lana's inspirations to something from the past, oftentimes so irrelevant to her music and to what she writes about. Can't wait until someone claims that she's written a song about the diary entries of a Nazi officer or something
  20. What is this supposed to prove? It's great that Lana referenced Space Oddity but c'mon y'all are trying too hard to find connections between Bowie and Lana
  21. If it really is about Bowie's half-brother I find it highly insensitive of Lana to write a song about him
  22. In Space Oddity there is the line 'Tell my wife I love her very much', maybe the title 'Terrence Loves You' is connected to that, idk I've got to admit some of the lines are kind of awkward, especially 'Trying to transmit can you hear me' and also the way she rhymes 'Ground Control To Major Tom' with 'Can you hear me all night long' I do like how 'Trying to transmit can you hear me' seems to be her version of the line 'Can you hear me, Major Tom'. I think it's the word 'Transmit' that is kind of awkward
  23. That drives me mad. In High By The Beach it's the same thing with the piano which lasts for like 1.5 seconds
  24. Ok since TYL is up on Spotify, I listened to it. I wish it was a bit more dynamic, but the Ground Control To Major Tom part is epic
