  1. With the HM era seemingly coming to a close, and the new age of LDR5 being ushered in, I thought it would be a good time to discuss what our favorite parts of the much-maligned HONEYMOON era were!

    lana-del-rey-honeymoon-youtube-lyrics-20

    So, what were your favorite:

    Photoshoots...?

    Songs...?

    Videos...?

    Other moments/parts...?

Let's take some time to appreciate this era and all it had to offer! :kiss3:

I was going to post this as a status, but thought it deserved a thread. Mods, please let me know if this is unnecessary!

  2. Does anyone know the working titles for her albums? I've heard God Bless America (BTD) The Revenge Of Lana Del Rey (BTD) Do U Luv Me (?) Melancholy (UV) anything else? Is there proof to those being working titles besides "insider" rumors?

Aside from the others mentioned, a working title for AKA was to "Nevada" (which, I don't remember how, had some tie to 5 Points that authenticated it), and a local (NY) article sometime before or near the recording/release of AKA referred to the album as "God Bless America", which she would also consider for BTD.

  3. Her song "In the Beginning" just played on my Spotify Discover Weekly playlist, and I'm absolutely in love

In this song, at least, she gives me a lot of Marissa Nadler and Mariee Sioux vibes and it's so gorgeous :defeated:

I'm glad some of LB has taste :hooker:

  4. congrats, @@Cacciatore! your likes always give me much-needed attention ;)

u also stole my category so we can take this out back if u wanna fight me... this dress is on rent from bellasformals.net but i'm a bad b*tch and i pay my damages like a REAL WOMAN

    :hooker:

(but fr you deserve this but i better win something next time, qweens)

  5. Does anyone still have that link to Kali's unreleased (Drunken Babble + all the other stuff)? I don't feel like searching through all 41 pages of the thread to find it :oopna:

I've yet to listen to any of her work besides Por Vida, which totally blew my mind. So, might as well enjoy her back catalogue while we wait  :creepna2:

  6. is it true that axl rose husband has a final version?

According to David Kahne, there is! He also stated, strangely enough, that there's a final version of White Pontiac Heaven that he produced, which is odd due to it being an acapella version of ARH. Of course, it could always be a reused title-- but who knows, besides David and Lana :creep:

(if I'm right, this info came from an e-mail conversation between the good sis @#glimmeringdarling and David, several years ago

  7. If it weren't for OTTR, I probably would not be a Lana fan right now.

I don't recall if it was the *first* Lana song I ever heard-- I think that honor may belong to "Video Games"-- but it was certainly one of the first, and it's the song I fell in love with. It rocked my world, and for a long time, I was very afraid to approach the rest of Lana's catalogue, because I was assured that I'd be let down-- what in God's name could be better than such a dynamic, unique track as OTTR? It made me love her, and still exemplifies why I love her. It's at turns fast, punchy and sassy, and just as quickly, full of longing, devotion and wistfulness. It's a rollercoaster ride in five minutes, and is the quintessential Lana Del Rey track, saturated in the mythos that's now viewed as inseparable from Lana; as you listen, you get completely immersed in her unique universe, brimming with crime, good girls gone bad and the bad men who enable them, drinks and party dresses, Chateau Marmonts and glimmering darlings, all meeting in one wild show, a three-ring circus with nearly everything but good family values. By the end, you're starstruck. It's true magic in music, and I challenge Lana, or any other artist for that matter, to even *attempt* to create a track this incredible again.

I wish I could ramble endlessly about it, but all I'll say now  is that I believe it's Lana's best, nearly uncontested. It ranks among my very, very favorite Lana songs, and it's definitely a shining example of Lana at her absolute best.

I love OTTR in a way that I don't love any other Lana song. It's magic. It really is.

    :icant:

  8. I've heard it  :flutter:  My fave part is the 56 second long banjo chorus. Lana goes full bluegrass in this song  :flutter:  :flutter:  :flutter:  :flutter:  Get ready for it on Febutober 56th 2025!

    life imitates art:

Backwoods Alabama Rollerderby  :hawt:  :hawt:  :hawt:

    kings of prediction tbh :grinds:

wait @Elle can we still make dumb jokes about things that are OBVIOUSLY not in the song, or would you rather us not? xx

  9. Honestly, as long as nothing leaks that will harm Lana in any way, I love the speculation and guessing... and even fake "insiders" :flutter: It keeps me excited and ready for the new track/album/era, and is all in good fun, so long as no actual sensitive info or audio leaks.

So, if any of y'all have audio/info, I hope you keep it to yourselves, and let Lana get the privilege of releasing her own art, on her own terms. Meanwhile, I hope everyone keeps making guesses at what the new track will sound like! I'm so ready  :derpna2:

I love this snippet so much, why can't she scrap everything and just make an entire album full of this :( I'm actually aching for this, a new surf-noir, summer, sunlight song

Hawaiian glam metal, AKA meets UV PLEASE Lana

    did I write this.... :derpna:

no, as much as I would love a surf-noir/hawaiian glam metal/AKA+UV album (it would be absolutely perfect imo), I don't want Lana to stop whatever direction she's going in. It's her art, and one of these days, I might have to accept that she's probably never going back to the Lizzy Grant sound... as hard as it is  :crai:

  10. This is a metaphor

Do you think I’m crazy for considering prostitution?

I’m a fan of f.ucking, why not do it for the nation?

'Cause I have nothing else to do this summer but commit it to you

Have a big degree in philosophy

But I don’t know what I wanna be

So I’m going into prostitution, yeah, Mom

I’m going into prostitution, yeah, Dad

Going into prostitution, I’m going into prostitution

Do you think I’m crazy 'cause I’m up and leaving, baby?

Well, I ain’t got nobody and I ain’t got no money, baby

I feel high as I might tonight, so lean back and enjoy the ride

And the weather is clear, yeah, nobody is near

The future is not yet here

So I’m going into prostitution, yeah, Mom

I’m going into prostitution, yeah, Dad

Going into prostitution, I’m going into prostitution

Do you think I’m crazy 'cause I’m going to Pensacola?

Where nobody knows me, where someone could just start over

I’ll be alright in a month or two, 'cause it’s warm there in the winter, too

Think New York is great, I really like the state

But it’s time to be on my way

So I’m going into prostitution, yeah, Mom

I’m going into prostitution, yeah, Dad

I'm gonna take a vacation, yeah, man

F.uck fighter men all over the nation

F.uck fighter men all over the nation

    May Jailer who

  11. I still keep that snippet in my itunes so I can pretend that Lana went surf-noir again and that the Honeymoon era was all just a bad dream :flutter:

HM is not THAT bad, but ngl I'm hoping this new album is not similar... i mean idk i don't want it to be soulless pop bops either, so... unless this heaux whips out another masterpiece like AKA/BtD/Paradise/UV (everything in her discography except HM :creep:) i'm basically setting myself up for disappointment :toofunny:
