Say Yes to Heaven replied to Elle's topic in Retired Pre-Release Threads
Well that’s vague... if she just did that and then went silent and the album was just released with no pre-order, cover reveal, tracklist reveal, single announcements, promotion in general, then yes. It would be a bad strategy. -

March 29th date was never even confirmed ANYWHERE. Like everything this era. it’s stupid to be mad over Billie releasing her album that day. Like people said too, they’re the same label with similar enough genres, i highly doubt interscope would allow them both to be released the same day anyways. Not expecting NFR until the summer... I just wish someone would fucking say something -

Yet so many people have come for me on my Instagram for “complaining” about this era. Some people really believe that Lana can do no wrong at all, sure it might be the label in part but she could at least be communicating with us more or even just being active on Instagram and/or Twitter. But she’s just so insanely quiet it’s shocking. I’ve lost all hope for this era turning out any better. Just release In Your Car, HIAB, HTD, and Cinnamon and be on your way, Lana. -

Like wdym... everywhere I go I hear people talk abt Billie. Even if she is only “internet famous”, the internet is such a large part of everyone’s daily life (whether you’d like to admit it or not) and she’s absolutely huge online and has a big audience of teenagers and young adults which comprises mainly of “locals” and they arguably dictate what’s on radio now. If it’s big online, then it’s more than likely to be mainstream IRL. Being an actual high school student, I think I’d know what’s big with teenagers right now. And you could say that older people wouldn’t know who she is but how often does the older generation really venture outside of their beloved classics, let’s be real. Our generation (meaning teens, young adults, etc) are basically running what’s popular nowadays. -

I have no hype nor high expectations for this era other than music. I am just going to continue believing that she’ll just release the album with no promo (if we’re lucky then at least one or two magazine covers IF ANY) and then go silent again for another year. That way when it actually happens, which i’m positive it will, I won’t be that sad over it -

Hollywood with the “correct” production would probably be more like AFFA I want it. -

Well I mean, he knew the date for BP and TGL since he got it from the Tyrannosaurus blog guy or whatever. But we don’t know anything about Wild One other than it was just registered at the same time as BP -

Also can we please stop calling Beautiful People and The Good Life Ultraviolence outtakes when (going by the date) they’re confirmed not to be... An album outtake would be a song that was recorded during the album’s creation but then discarded not recorded a month after the entire album was actually released. Lines are being sooo blurred in this fandom of what is what. -

I literally can’t quote but @khris, you still believing that Eclipse has any more full unheard Lana songs is why you are nominated for Most Gullible, my dear. -

I also don’t see how anyone can believe Lana just walks into the studio and leaves with a fully produced song with everything she wanted. Of course there’s exceptions which Lana has said herself, Pretty When You Cry, Y*semite, but even Cruel World which was super “raw” had an early demo that they did in one take which is NOT the same as what we have. Every song has an early concept which is probably just recorded on lana’s phone as a melody or something and then taken into studio and they do early vocals and instruments and then work more on it. They even have to be mixed, which means there are unmixed versions too. I don’t think for a SECOND that there are more than 5 released Lana songs that she just banged out right then and there entirely I am pretty sure you guys think if no one has it (aka leakers/hoarders) then it just doesn’t exist or its impossible for it to have happened. -

One of the mixers/engineers literally said Honeymoon demos sound like the 80s lmao, what do y’all mean there’s no demos for that album. -

Piano Theme and Morricone were registered alongside Old Money in early 2013 and were originally taken as The Great Gatsby outtakes.. Old Money ended up on UV but it was thought to be intended for The Great Gatsby (possibly in terms of Daisy?) but there’s no evidence of that other than the time period of its registration. It could’ve also been registered so early due to the Romeo and Juliet sample. There’s also speculation Piano Theme is a “interlude” for the Paradise tour and Morricone is a rendition of an Ennio Morricone score for the tour also but again. there’s no proof. As for I Talk To Jesus, no one has that and that’s a fact. The title had been registered since 2014 yet we didn’t even find it until 2017, it could be a cover of Bob Dylan (iirc) which is most likely since covers are registered under Lana’s name on PPL which is where it was found (Check”You Must Love Me”) and the title hasn’t been found elsewhere. And finally, Trans Am was simply written in Lana’s notebook during a studio session with a heart around it. She could’ve been just messing around and stating her love for the car type and I highly doubt it’s anything else.- 112 replies

i am not excited for NFR at all purely on the basis that there is absolutely no hype. Not to mention that there’s nothing solid on release dates or anything so i don’t wanna get excited for something right now if it’s coming in summer -
