Somebody help me understand why critics are wetting their pants over this. I keep trying to listen and it’s just a mess. Half the songs sound like Ariana’s Positions, Justin’s Changes, Nobody Gets Me sounds like Camilla Cabello… what is so special about this album? yes, blind, kill bill and good days are great but that’s like it. I feel like if anyone else released this it would barely be praised

Yeah I realized this after the fact, love Madge. I meant like Lana has barely started her career. That said, good point. Madonna is still breathing new life into her music all these years later (though it hasn’t really been quality since 2005)

I want to like this so bad, I’ve been going back and forth all day. I can appreciate what’s being done but to me it’s very predictable and just “pretty” Similar to with most of COCC and basically all of BB, it’s not really pulling me in to listen again. I find myself making a point to turn it on, saying “that’s nice”, then going about my day Hoping it grows on me because I wanna see what y’all see in it I’m just not a piano ballad girlie whatsoever

I thought it was established that A&W is the official title of American Whore? Or am I wrong? I’m seeing y’all get excited about that title and how iconic it is but it’s allegedly… not the title Is it possible that it’s just written that way on the vinyl for whatever reason?

This is so ironic because to me it just sounds like IYLDWM, LMLYLAW, and COCC all mixed together idk it just doesn’t really personally break any new ground. I do think I overall prefer it to those songs though
