I think I’m in the minority here but I actually feel much better that Jack has a lot of involvement here. This is a daring direction for her that could go very wrong but I trust him to ground her. His mixing is always top notch, whether I like what’s going on musically or not.

Lasso is WAY too on the nose for this album to not have at least some additional layer of sonic identity and irony. I trust her vision. Maybe it’s her almost satirizing country but still using it as a vessel to do sincere story telling?

SAME, quite literally the sound I’ve been craving from Lana since she debuted. This and a Mazzy Star type of sound would make me MELT. Hopefully she leans into those buttery reverb drenched vocals and steel slide guitar
