To me, it very obviously reads that this is a convo between her and her team about teasing a snippet and not wanting to reveal too much. ”I only sent it to do an edit” and “I’ll make an edit now if what I’m comfortable with” feels like she’s definitely referring to one song. And “it’s gonna get uploaded obviously” makes me think she’s gonna post it on her story and just because it’s a story post on 360brat doesn’t mean people won’t upload it to YouTube.

Unpopular opinion but absolutely nothing she’s dropped since Clarity has been enjoyable to me. Not FSN (def the better of the bunch though) not Feed The Beast, not even Problematique. She shines over saturated electro pop like Do Me, Personal Hell, Icy and most of Era 1 material.

If Lana were to do something more electronic, I’d love it to be more ethereal, classic sounding and orchestral like This Mortal Coil

I personally love her fun side. It feels most like her. An album of Zuziecide type songs and I’d be thrilled. I don’t want sanitized hyper flop garbage. mostly just want her to be happy with what she’s doing… some of y’all put way too much pressure on her to deliver a magnum opus when she just returned and is getting comfy again

I get it that you and others like you may prefer her older stuff but to just objectively say the music isn’t good anymore and that she’s in it for money is simply not true. I personally thought her auto-pilot, phoned in “I’m a coke whore, naughty girl sucking monster cock, Paris Hilton mcbling MySpace” fodder was devoid of personality and boring. She seems to agree. Her new stuff has been excellent. May Showers, Show Me, Make It Roll, Zuziecide, etc all bangers and she’s having FUN. Sounds just like her old self to me. Seems for you she’s damned if she does or doesn’t. Your mad she’s pandering to her annoying 17 year old gay boy mcbling cringe stans by caving into the H4U vibe but hating everything else she’s done in the other direction…

I don’t want any more half baked wink wink nudge nudge middle finger up tongue out synth trap Taylor-lite Jack beats… it worked for A&W but no more please. I don’t like “lowkey” bops. I want raw emotion and fire. I can’t lie, I want some grit back. Obviously most of us always ask for a UV type sound but after 3 very paired down energy kind of albums, I want something more assertive sounding.

I love Ethel but after sitting with this album for months, I feel like she sometimes takes herself a little too seriously. I hope on the next project she “lets her hair down” a little bit more or whatever.

This is actually well done and mixed excellently. His voice sounds much better here than he has in the past. Not really counting this as a Lana feature, also just not my mind of music (it feels like a compromise much like Taylor’s where everything’s a mid tempo sort of synth ballad). That said, cute!

The mixing all over this is horrid, should have brought in an actual industrial/digital hardcore producer
