Unfortunately not really feeling this. The singles are by far the strongest songs here along with maybe Dramatic. Everything else feels very middle of the road to me unfortunately. Wish some of the mixing and production overall was more crisp because there are some good ideas with just ok execution. Still leagues ahead of some of the bland dance-pop garbage put out by some of her peers

See, to me, Americana is less about the sonic direction and more about the lyrical and thematic content. I don’t think we’re getting banjos and harmonica (though I wouldn’t be mad) I think the themes she’ll explore will be less family focused and personal and more about the state of the country. Sonically, I could see her going very simple with acoustic guitar as it’s a great means for traditional storytelling. Would LOVE some Leonard Cohen and Roy Harper folk vibes

I hope this doesn’t come off as aggressive but why does it matter? Like this girl has released 4 debuts at this point and there’s no point of categorization

I don’t think that song sounds like a Good Ones rip. Sure, it sounds like it could come from the same project but it’s not melodically that similar.

I hope George barely touched this album. His production feels very flat and one dimensional though not bad… PC producers just know how to capture that super thick sounds from all angles

Oh wow… I think this is definitely real actually. It’s too bizzare and nuanced to not be real. Definitely a demo but very cool, I really like it. Definitely sounds in line with what we know - influenced by her earlier influences (def hear some Uffie in there). Also the beat is very reminiscent of the stuff she is allegedly being inspired by lately. I’d think this is the most mellow we’re going to get from her yet it’s still kind of a bop

I’m gonna realistic and say we are gonna get an album that is a mix of Fingertips style spontaneity and Let The Light In style instrumentation. Grandiose still but not like the swooping balladry of the title track, Sweet, The Grants, etc. I think it’ll be more “casual”. Is this what I want? No. But it’s most realistic
