This. It’s undoubtedly because Ali Payami was at the helm of production choices. I can respect him pushing his usual sterile pop boundaries to do something vaguely more industrial leaning but he just doesn’t seem to have those tools in his toolbox. Good ideas across this thing, poor execution. It’s like if you asked Dua Lipa to make a Nine Inch Nails album lol

I do. And I can hear what was done with who. It sounds like a demo that Charli made with George, was sent to AG to help with some percussion here and there plus the outro fx. The generic bass drop is very George.

Revisiting this song, I really love it. Don’t know why it got so much hate… it’s like SOPHIE’s take in We Can’t Stop by Miley which is kind of camp

Even without Sam, I HATE this. Like this might be my least favorite Charles song ever. It’s so bland, generic, predictable, dated and tacky. Sam honestly may elevate it because it goes nowhere. I honestly wish it stayed in the trash.

No like me neither tbh it wouldn’t surprise me if this whole set of shenanigans was only for her to get closer to Ayesha… there’s been rumors of a potential collab between them for months now

Essentially two things happened: 1) Brooke had asked Chase to hop on a collab called Fish. Brooke felt like Chase’s verse was “too much” and asked her to simplify it… according to Chase she totally murdered the verse making Brooke’s parts look weak. Chase simplified it, sent it to Brooke, and then Brooke ghosted her for a while… despite all the work and revisions she never got paid and the song never came out 2) Brooke asked Freakalicious (new group consisting of Ayesha Erotica, Chase and That Kid) to collab on a song. Typically royalties between writers are split evenly. The group gave Brooke a discounted rate which Brooke rejected and then came back with a measly 10% for all 3 of them… 3.33% each which is just dirty. After the group rejected this, Brooke unfollowed all of them and ghosted them had the audacity to text Chase and ask for Ayesha’s number so she could just do a solo collab with her

This may be why I don’t like it, George’s production is just so… empty sounding for me. It always seems to lack the intricacy of her work with AG and PC producers. This could just be a mid AG beat tho lol but it does sound like a George beat

Also, can someone remind me why we think/know Spring Breakers is scrapped?

Hate to say it but not feeling that snippet… sounds pretty generic and sterile. Let’s hope there’s the full has more flavor (I’m sure it will)
