moral of the story - if lana wants to make more stripped back music (even though there are PLENTY of tracks on the last two albums that aren’t that stripped or mellow..), she can do that and will still have an abundance of people who love and adore her music (shocking i know, can you believe people actually like stripped back music?! or even… piano music?!) and that doesn’t mean she’s driving her career into the ground

despite it being her lowest, it was still a GREAT number, what was it, like 74k? there are main pop girls who can’t sell that first week. 74k records in the us alone is incredible for an album with almost no hype/promotion - especially when her only major headlines leading up to the album were about qftc and her mesh mask. just because you don’t like where she’s taking her career doesn’t mean she’s driving it into the ground

Yeah ancient dreams is good, but it still doesn’t top her first three albums, it was nice to get some of that quirky production back though (title track in particular), some more raw vocals (like goodbye), but there were definitely a few tracks that fell pretty flat. i have hope in her though, i think l+f was definitely a learning experience, hell, everytime she mentions it she mentions how she knows a good portion of her fans hated it. also… another remix?.. watch her release a vinyl with just two remixes lmfao

honestly this seems pretty accurate - also omg i didn’t know halsey said that (but thinking about it, that makes a lot of sense bc hfk/manic were def grammy worthy), i hope more artists besides her and the weeknd start doing that so the grammys have less meaning, but for now although i definitely see chemtrails getting nominated in probably at least two categories. it may not be a fan fav album but the acclaim it’s gotten is great, and honestly it’s a beautiful & cohesive record.
