completely redid twice's entire discography based on their japanese albums because there are so much stuff and i wanted to basically have all killer no filler stuff

 

so here's the redone twice discography so far:

i added the totep tracks to add more bulk to the album and removed rest stop because it didn’t really fit that much with the theme of the album (although i do like it a lot)

 

basically i organized the tracks almost like a story since it is a concept album about adulthood and i generally organized it based on how the themes connected with each other

 

basically there’s act 1 (tracks 1-5) that act as the main character basically being thrown out into “the real world” and initially trying to use their previous optimism to get through the predetermined path laid out for them before realizing that it’s unfulfilling and they have a breakdown and subsequent depression

 

act 2 (tracks 6-10) act as the present character looking back on their past to cope with their current present

 

act 3 (tracks 11-13) brings the character back to the present and they figure out that they have more will to do what they want and to figure out things for themselves despite the pressure and loneliness

 

track 14 essentially acts like a credits scene

Billie Eilish - Happier Than Ever

For this record, I just wanted to trim some of the pre-singles and have it feel like a more complete body of work that would've represented Your Power onwards. I'm really not a fan of when artists tack on or add pre-singles that are months old or just droplets. my future does feel like a part of this project but I couldn't find a spot for it in the main album that I was happy with, hence it's bonus track status. Therefore I Am, despite being a hit doesn't feel like part of this record and in my opinion should've remained a stand alone single. And same goes for the Not My Responsibility interlude, I think it worked on the tour but I'm just not a fan of spoken word interludes on albums.

 

Also I have a thing, I just love 13 track albums and so you may notice a lot of my tracklistings have 13 songs.

ZAYN - Icarus Falls

This was quite tiring because the original 29-track version is hella long, I had to sit through the entire thing to make it work but I'm happy with the result. Even if I enjoy Let Me, I Don't Mind and Fingers, The album flows better without them imo

24 Hours is a MAJOR bop and no slander can be tolerated bestie :cryney2: if it's actually praise forgive me, I'm listening to my Japanese teacher rn and I'm kinda off dddd.

At first, I only liked the singles (24 Hours, Here Comes the Night [!!!!!] and Fingers Crossed). But it took me literal months to actually like it as a whole. Particularly XX and Selfmade, were the last to click. Too repeatitive but eventually I was able to vibe to them dddd.

Adding Goodlife would've been a step in the right direction. The title track feels so odd as there is no other downtempo/ballad in the album, so it feels so out of place.

Kinda messy, but when it clicks, the album is actually impressive imo.

no I LOVE 24 Hours

but the album felt like a rehash of Born This Way idk I wasn't impressed like I was with 24H

I honestly love this album! I do think the EG.0 concept was terrible however. I tried to incorporate some of the more mainstream singles into the album to create one project rather than the album and EP combo. I removed Woman and New Heights, not because I don't like them but just because the album does lag a bit in the middle.
