well power and control was the second official single and it only has double the streams of the forgotten song hypocrates  if it was an official single i can see it having the same amount or be even more popular. it’s a beautiful track. the beginning is an ear worm.

I've been adoring all the snippets so far. The instrumentation of this album is gonna be so crazy and good I just know it. I'm not sure about the lyrics, but I feel like we're getting FROOT and HTF-esque production again

I honestly don't know what to think about the snippets so far (still hesistant on Cupid's Girl but it seems catchy so far) because I'm not really feeling all of them (because they don't seem to be my kind of taste in music) except for Sweet And Sour but that's okay because I'm excited for the album nonetheless. 

 

The new snippet seems to be cool production wise. Like I have never heard a song similar to it, it has like a running horse effects in the background. Although, her vocals are strong in this but when she went higher I thought the vocals were going to be high pitched again and then I thought she was going to yodel 😭

 

I don't see any similarities to The Family Jewels, Electra Heart nor Froot in those snippets at all though. And it's okay because she's trying a new style which is different from all of these. Recycling the same sound all over again would've been boring.

Well, to be honest, I'm doing it a bit on purpose, but I do genuinely feel excited for this album because even though I hadn't said this, I also had low hopes when Butterfly came out. Once I heard...you know what and all the snippets she's shared so far, I got my hopes up again as they show this new album might have potential, which is something that I feel people don't even bother to think anymore about Marina's new music...

Apparently Cupid's Girl samples the instrumentals from her Aspartame and Eat the World audio-visuals. I have no plans to listen to Eat the World but I am curious if it has any other easter eggs for M6 that will turn up once the album's out.

i honestly really like this. i listened to the audio-visuals and thought how nice it would be if she wrote music similar to it
