Sirens - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll

I think this type of music would fit her now, and would sound very good with her improved vocals. Most lyrics in these songs aren't bad at all, and certain songs are highlights in her career(to me at least). If she ever does an unreleased compilation, I would hope that she would include some of these songs  (though at the same time I want them to be my not so secret, secret <3).

I don’t have much to contribute but I will say that it’s incredible that some of her best melodies (and overall songs imo) came from this early non-era.

I honestly adore Sirens. It sounds so eerily beautiful and it makes me imagine the soft seaside on a gloomy, melancholic day. Its simple, raw acoustic sound is what makes it so beautiful and ethereal IMO. I really hope Lana decides to re-release it one day along with homemade MVs/ visualizers of the songs. I could definitely envision the ocean being a part of the visuals. My favorite tracks have to be Drive By, Next To Me, A Star For Nick, and Peace

I have 2 versions of the album, ones all mp3s and the others all m4as. Which ones the original resurface/leak??

I'm sorry but this is a bootleg copy. Original CDs didn't had labels printed directly on the disc as she didn't produce professional copies. Instead she burnt the songs on multiples CD-r and printed the labels on stickers (something easy to appreaciate on Rob's picture of the official disc). And also yes, the songs exist in wav/flac 16bits and, obviously, in 320kbps.

Everyone who buys copies of AKA and Sirens knows they're bootleg  The whole thing about those albums is that they never had official releases

The thing is that they were claiming that the CD own by them is an official copy. A thing that it's not.

Every now and then I really love to listen to Sirens, some melodies are so good and it's always so relaxing
