His self-titled debut album, largely co-written with songwriters Iain Archer, Matt Prime and Crispin Hunt, was released in late 2012 and reached number one in the UK albums chart. His main influences as a song-writer are Layne Staley, The Beatles and Johnny Cash. He's from my town so there's a lot of hype about him round here so it was a really good atmosphere seeing him perform.
